The ADM processes airspeed data to the primary flight displays and could provide false data that directly affects the flight safety of the aircraft.
There have been many recent crashes that have listed faulty airspeed data as a cause or contributing factor.
Usually there are redundant ADMs one for the pilot and one for the co pilot. When they disagree the aircrew gets an alarm. That alarm was probably the cause of the aborted takeoff.
Sounds like a normal every day union work slow down. By choosing something that set off an arlarm got the flight stopped after all the work and effort to load the passengers.

could the same thing have happened with some of the other accidents?? Do investigators check out the mechanics?? I would be very leery of flying any aircraft with a Muslim mechanic.
