The only real solution is Internet social media content providers like Facebook, etc. can not limit, edit or decide what’s fake, not fake or appropriate for someone who subscribes to their service. Treat them just like telcomm carriers. They can’t control what’s said or not said, what the web site has or doesn’t have. The social media outfits should just be like empty store fronts in the mall. You the user provide your content stick it in the “store front” be it good sense, bad sense whatever. The user is free to pay attention or ignore. This means parents are going to have to “police their kids” - meaning actually “parent” them!
This is the only way free speech will be honored and nobody will monopolistic political control.
