“All the more glory.

That is why men fight bulls.”

I know you meant it metaphorically, but there’s nothing heroic about torturing an animal for enjoyment.

Agreed. The Queen may be the final savoir of the UK in this.

Boris will refuse to take Bill to Queen and there nothing Parliament can do to make him take any Bill to Queen, short of another election which cannot happen during this session...they have run out of time. Boris has em by the bullocks.

“there’s nothing heroic about torturing an animal for enjoyment”

I don’t mean torturing something for sadistic enjoyment.

I mean facing a huge challenge, to test/demonstrate one’s mettle. I think that is why men fight bulls - to prove their courage.

I get what you meant, and my phrasing was off. I meant “entertainment” instead of enjoyment, but I get your point.

You’re right in your assessment, it just pains me to see innocent animals used for such purposes. It’s a cultural thing though, so it will remain what it will remain.

At least the bulls get a little revenge during the running of the bulls celebrations :)

Indeed, Brexit is a fight worth fighting but so many up hill battles ahead for the UK. I’m Canadian and we are in a similarly bad situation here. We have fewer Muslims and arguably much more integrated ones, but we have imported 50,000 Syrians, who will be trouble for us in the future. We also have state funded liberal think tanks and media. The best we will end up with, and this is the best outcome, is a slightly center party taking over from the Trudeau wankers.

“It’s a cultural thing (Bullfighting) though, so it will remain what it will remain.”

It has been a continuous though changing tradition, from the time of the Roman Coliseum. It is declining in Spain, especially in Catalonia (Barcelona), where they closed down their bull ring. They still do it in Mexico.

While there, I attended a bull fight, and ate at the restaurant afterwards. Not knowing much Spanish, I had the special of the day, which was good. Afterwards, I was surprised to learn that it was made from the testicles of one of the bulls killed.

The next day, I took my friend to have him try it, but when it came, the portion size was only a tiny fraction of the day before - no way was it a meal.

When I complained, they apologized, but said that the bull doesn’t always lose.

Ta - dum - ching!

I don’t see anything in the article that says that, can you quote the part you are referring to?

Johnson can sit on the bill or he can tell the queen to deny royal assent and the only thing parliament could do is to pass a vote of no confidence which would give Johnson an election, by the time the election was over it would be impossible to go through the process again to stop Brexit even if the remainers won.

Our Father, we ask that you intervene in the Parliament and by other means to free Britain from the twisted, pro-globalist EU and return sovereignty to the British people and national government.

Amen!
