And after Keith was gone, MSNBC had to settle for a slightly less effeminate version of Olbermann.
Classic!
FWIW, James Jeffords (RIP) “inherited” Fulbright’s Senate Chamber desk...
“”Sometimes, then, differences must be openly acknowledged in the political sphere so that equality can be established on the basis of our differences rather than in denial of them.””
I hate this torturing of the language. It destroys any possibility of any rational argument.
Why must we pretend that we’re all equal when we’re obviously not?
Wouldn’t it be better to acknowledge that we’re all different, and that depending on the specific differences, sometimes that is good, sometimes not and deal with it and leave the fiction that we’re all equal completely out of the discussion.
This insistence on equity and equality is doing just the opposite of what it’s intended to do - tearing us apart instead of uniting us and turning the country into a police state doomed to walk on eggshells. It’s feeling more and more like 1984.
Andy, Andy,
Maddow was a “Roads Scholar.” Yes, Roads, not Rhodes!
She “serviced” road crews at lunch break time. Earned enough money to attract Olbermann’s attention. He then told her that he was losing his gig and maybe they could just switch places.
The few times I have seen her in short clips/snips, she is acting like a monster and not a cute blonde high school girl.
