Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) took aim at GOP Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) after the lawmaker said a weekend uptick in violence in the city proved that “gun control doesn’t work.”
“60% of illegal firearms recovered in Chicago come from outside IL — mostly from states dominated by coward Republicans like you who refuse to enact commonsense gun legislation,” Lightfoot tweeted late Monday. “Keep our name out of your mouth.”

Gun control doesn’t work. Look at Chicago. Disarming law-abiding citizens isn’t the answer. Stopping violent criminals—prosecuting & getting them off the street—BEFORE they commit more violent crimes is the most effective way to reduce murder rates. Let’s protect our citizens.

“Keep our name out of your mouth”? Well, that’s a mature and responsible statement. Chicago’s governance can not get any worse than it is now. I pity its citizens.
The graphic chart lacks two key things. Were the weapons stolen to start with, and just how many were picked up by the cops. If we are only talking about 42 guns over the whole year, this chart is worthless.
Which goes to show that when criminals are willing to commit crimes in an area free of prosecution of such they will subvert the law to do so because..........well they are criminals.

Lori Lightfoot has the unique ability, who when seated, is able to look at people to her immediate right and left while all the time starring ahead.

Doesn’t matter were the guns come from you moron. It could be China or Mexico. But it is you citizen bringing them in and using them on your other citizens. Deal with it!

Almost every illegal shooting is the culmination of a series of mistakes over a lifetime. The fact that the shooter obtained a gun, perhaps illegally, at the very end of that chain does not make it the most important failure.
The problem is the person who wants to kill. We are producing people who want to kill in huge numbers. This is the problem we need to address.
This particular example of “Hood Speech” was very popular last year amongst the young on Social Media. It was last year’s trendy catchphrase, which is why idiot politicians are using it today.
We don’t need to get the guns off the street; we need to get the BUMS off the street.
