Overall violent crime is down about 40% since 1993 so why talk about murders all the time...

Part of the problem is that psychiatrists and even now psychologists are trying to convince the world that theirs is a profession of the hard sciences.

It is not.

Most of these professions are purely subjective and interpretive. Psychology belongs not in the sciences wing of universities but in the humanities wing, as it is little more than philosophy and the theory of criticism and, thanks to Freud, most of it has been co-opted by Critical Theory and the Cultural Marxists.

Psychiatry is only a little better and only a little more based in the hard sciences. The problem is that too many psychiatrists are caught between trying to be Freudian psychologists (cultural critiques, it isn’t your fault, etc.) and scientific doctors.

The problem is that many mental illnesses are not curable in a scientific manner the way that a bacterial infection is.

They are involved in guess work. They think a patient’s issues are rooted in some imbalance in the brain and they prescribe medication to balance that out. But they do not know for certain.

Unfortunately, many of the SSRI medications that psychiatrists prescribe to treat psychotic patients have a known 10-15% change of causing suicidal or homicidal impulses in those taking the medication.

They know this.

And yet they continue to prescribe these medications.

WHY!!???

And WHY will these “doctors” these “scientifically-based medical professionals” not admit that they are providing the medication that is causing a lot of these rampages?

THESE are the questions we should be asking and discussing...NOT gun control, which is all the citizenry has to protect themselves against these maniacs that are being hopped up by ego-maniacal “doctors.”

Depending on the state they typically only get a 24 to 72 hour hold.

Exactly! And the problem is there is no good known answer right now. So they look at gun control to “feel” safer.

This guy chose evil and cowardice, plain and simple. if he would have prayed to God and been genuine about it and asked Jesus for help, God and Jesus would have. Dark forces like to prey on these loner angry types who blame the world for all their problems. They need to dig deep and fight for their souls. Too much evil and fear out there trying to run the show.. time to turn things around.

So true. Psychologists and psychiatrists are part of the problem and not part of the solution. Dangerous, murderous nuts need to be locked up.

Where is your source for 9 kids? The only place I saw that was the absurd “mylife” postings that retarded morons think are accurate even though anyone can edit them on the fly.

I believe I saw it on a news site, but probably just bad early reporting.

Very unusual for a father of nine to do an rampage shooting.

"Sounds like the dead dogs of the neighbors."

............... Nah ..... The Odessa Shooter's name is Seth Ator ............ And according to information beginning to surface.... He was a Democrat Socialist who had a "Beto" sticker on his truck.

.... That would explain the delay in the Identity and Background information being released. They probably found a large cache of extreme Left Wing propaganda and weird stuff associated with the same ....

More info:

ODESSA, Texas (AP) — The gunman in a West Texas rampage “was on a long spiral of going down” and had been fired from his oil services job the morning he killed seven people, calling 911 both before and after the shooting began, authorities said Monday.

FBI special agent Christopher Combs said Ator called the agency’s tip line as well as local police dispatch on Saturday after being fired from Journey Oilfield Services, making “rambling statements about some of the atrocities that he felt that he had gone through.”

According to his neighbor, he would climb up on the roof of his shanty and shoot animals. It didn’t say which types. A lot of prairie dogs and burrowing owls around there.

>>FBI special agent Christopher Combs says Ator’s statements on the phone were “rambling.”

Rambling against President Trump perhaps?

They were slow to releasing his name.

The Orlando shooter “rambled” too, citing Obama’s drones strikes on muslim nations as the reason for his killing. Yet Barack repeatedly blamed that massacre on Christian opposition to same sex marriage.

If he’d been taken into custody when he threatened a neighbor with a firearm this might have been avoided. Rather than police visiting the neighbor who made the call police said they couldn’t find his address and left him alone.

As if the police never try to apprehend a meth head living in a trailer park.

>>Just so many of these incidents, like Odessa, Midland, Parkland, El Paso, Dayton, etc., could have easily been prevented....not by gun law legislation...but, by Police, FBI, School Adminstration, etc., proactive action against mentally insane & criminal nutcases!!! Democrat Party scum, vermin and low life have not one clue, butt wipes that they all are!!!

The Orlando shooter had been reported to the authorities prior to his attack. He’d made terrorist threats to someone and his defense was that his blew his top because of some anti-muslim remarks someone had made. He claimed to be victimized, y’see, so they cut him loose.
