Joe diGenova: FISA report circulating 'inside and outside' of Justice Department
Washington Examiner ^ | August 29, 2019 | Daniel Chaitin

Posted on 08/30/2019 7:56:07 PM PDT by george76

diGenova said Inspector General Michael Horowitz has determined all four FISA warrants against one-time Trump campaign aide Carter Page were illegally obtained.

...

DiGenova said if he were attorney general, any officials involved in obtaining the Page FISA warrants who are still in the department would be "gone." He singled out Dana Boente, who is the general counsel now under FBI Director Christopher Wray. The April 2017 FISA renewal was approved by Boente and former FBI Director James Comey,

...

DiGenova also discussed the two people he wants to hear from after the FISA report is released. He said he wants to know what the presiding judge of the 11-member FISA Court, Rosemary Collyer, will do to the people who "lied" to the court. And diGenova said he wants to hear from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who makes appointments to the court and supervises it.

"He had no problem criticizing the president of the United States for making comments about the political leanings of some judges on the 9th Circuit," DiGenova said of Roberts. "Well, Mr. Chief Justice, get off your tush and tell us what you think about this disgraceful conduct in your court — the FISA Court."

Christopher Wray is a Deep State hack.. Chris Christie recommended him… Part of the resistance...

Wray worked under Comey and with Mueller… should be fired.

We may never see any proof, but I would not be surprised if Roberts was in on it.

Why does Joe D. constantly sing the praises of Barr so much? Guy is looking like a fat Sessions more each day.

I listen to diGenova on Howie Carr's Boston show on a weekly basis. Given the certitude with which he has spoken about eventual justice being meted out and what reality now looks like, I now consider him Joke diGenova.

Number of Obama era FBI employees who will go to jail (or even have to spend their life savings trying to stay free): ZERO!

I want perp walks. I want months of grilling in which one slight misstatement adds perjury charges. I want long prison terms. I want Democrats to fear to ever do this again. If you don't prosecute you invite double the next time the Dems win.

Traitor Roberts is responsible for the FISA Court.

It’s his issue/responsibility whether his was directly involved or nought.

It might shock you to know that Joe D. knows Barr better than you do.

Joseph DiGenova has had a storied career so he actually has a lot of insider contacts. He has one of the smartest legal minds in all of the swamp and he knows the backgrounds of the swamp creatures.

As much as he spills publicly, he withholds even more.

IIRC, I read that Justice Roberts has flown on the Lolita Express.....that’s when the Obamacare decision made perfect sense to me.

The Obama has something on Roberts. He flipped after the first state of the union address the Opiecashit gave. IMO I also believe A Scalia was killed, no autopsy, I wonder why.

Roberts has been compromised (owned) by the Deep State since (at least) the Obama Care ruling. .

Roberts may have done an illegal adoption of his kids from Ireland, the Deep State have owned him since they discovered that.

I want the same things that all you hotheads want.

But everything has to be exactly right before you go to indictments, much less go to trial.

As an astute FReeper noted on another thread, indicting these evildoers and seeing them acquitted would be worse than not indicting them at all.

I agree.

I am no kind of cockeyed optimist, not even on weekends and holidays. But the level of defeatism I read on these threads is really getting to me.

The wheels of justice grind slowly, and we’re still at an early stage in what promises to be a long game. The fact that so little has been accomplished so far says less about the game itself than about the unrealistic expectations of some observers.

Make that “many observers.”

Trump has an exceptional sense of timing and misdirection. I wouldn’t be surprised if he viewed prosecutions at this time as having some backfire potential — i.e. better to run on his economic record rather than risk corruption trials becoming a distraction from his daily dismantling of Lizzie Warren or whichever mental patient the RATs nominate.

Then again, I don’t talk to DJT, so I don’t know what he’s thinking. But I offer the above scenario as an illustration of a policy that might not be to our liking but still has sound reasoning behind it.

Don’t get the impression that I’m happy with what’s going on or somehow underestimate the threat to our Republic and its Constitution. I’m just operating on a much different time horizon than what seems to be a majority of FReepers.

Well, that’s my view, expressed with force but without profanity. Go ahead and hate me for it — and hate me for refusing to follow the herd on these threads. Ask Jim Robinson to ban me for being a heretic.

But I will say this — it’s too early to say that Trump is beaten and America is beaten. So get a grip on your emotions, soldiers.

I thought Roberts was in the closet and that’s why he had to adopt kids - kids which really illegally came from Ireland which led to him being blackmailed by Obama.

I can’t possibly know what is going through Trump’s mind, but I do know this: If he listened to people who post here on Free Republic, he would have dropped out of the 2016 race at least two dozen times.

Yours is a very well-stated and reasoned view. The crimes have always been focused in the FISA frauds and abuses as they unleashed the Obama’s ability to do the severe damage of getting inside the Trump campaign with spies and ability to ‘create’ crimes within Trump’s organization. Barr emphatically stated inn front of Congress that he believed there was spying on the Trump campaign. Nothing that has come out to date addresses the spying. That is where the real war is engaged.

What I see is the foundation of corruption in the FBI and DoJ being presented very carefully to support the basis of indictments still to come. This will be one hell of a war and Barr will fight it with proper preparation and plenty of ammunition.

Oh, that is so funny! Thanks for responding to my post. As you can tell, I’m in a rather grouchy mood this evening, albeit for sound reasons.

So many of us, myself included, are like little children on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to deliver all the presents we’ve dreamed about. So much of the Horowitz report showing Comey’s repeated corruption with leaking and taking government documentation to his home, not to mention the Hillary email handling will powerfully augment the story of the FISA abuses. Comey is a SOB who by they timeline of events and leaks was out to get the president from the start. He is a total disgrace!

This report is going to be very impressive when you tie in Comey’s motives to the corrupt presentations to the FISA court. I’m very much in your line of thinking that Barr ain’t no dummy and he is very aware of the gravity of this criminal scandal. Not to mention there are many in the DoJ and FBI, including Wray, who do not want to cooperate. This is a very tough and dangerous job for Barr. So like little kids on Christmas Eve, go to bed early and stop driving yourself crazy with anticipation! Santa will get here when he gets here!
