I feel sorry for my nine-year-old niece, who is about to start fourth grade in the Chicago Public School System. According to the Chicago Tribune, Illinois has passed a law requiring that "the history curriculum in public schools include lessons on [sic] the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Illinois and the United States. The lessons must be taught to students before they complete the eighth grade." The law is set to go into effect in 2020.

Question 1: Why is someone's sexuality important to history?

That's the same question Illinois state representative Tom Morrison (R) asked. "How or why is an historical figure's sexuality or gender self-identification even relevant, especially when we're talking about kindergarten and elementary school history?" (See, we aren't all insane liberals here in the Land of Lincoln.)

Rep. Morrison has another, equally disturbing problem with this legislation. "Furthermore, there's no parental opt-out nor even any notification so the parents can know if, when, or how to talk about these topics with their children."

No parental opt-out? Since when do legislators in Illinois get to override our First Amendment rights of freedom of religion?

Question 2: What data are going to be used to determine which historical figures were sexual deviants?

Democratic legislators in Illinois claim that the information taught will be based on historical facts. Really? Is there some branch of research devoted to sexual deviants in history? Is solid historical proof going to be required, or simply innuendo? Are the Obamas going to make the list?

So children can't pray in school because it might offend someone (who that someone is, we don't know). But they can be forced to learn about sexual deviants and sexual deviancy, because parents can't opt out of this curriculum.

You really nailed it. Indeed, every civilization that has embraced it has devolved into chaos, culminating in destruction. This is especially true of those that sexualize children, which is what this is about.

There is a direct link between liberal democrats and this kind of degeneracy. They advocate it for the same reason they hate Christianity. Specifically, their hatred for the order and design of God is a manifestation of their hatred for God.

I wouldn’t be surprised that the gay agenda wants to take over the world. They started as a protected minority and after a while they’ll get enough power to be the ones who will offer their protection to others. I honesty don’t know what is at the source on this evangelical movement but I don’t like it. I think it’s something like resentment and hatred for being different — it’s not about equality, but almost a type of revenge against normalcy. They demand absolute belief and loyalty and have raised sexuality above humanity. I sometimes think that in the future heterosexuals will be forced to have a night of gay sex as sign of their commitment to diversity. They can opt out of a gay sex night if they pay a penalty fee to the cause, a tax as it were. If the gay agenda does take over the world I can see something like this in the works. And it’s no surprise that Eastern European countries don’t want them.

I’ve always hated the music of American Composer Aaron Copeland. I would turn off the radio when his stuff came on. I am probably in the minority, but it is what it is. I am continually amazed and delighted by the music of J.S. Bach. I found out that he was a devoted Christian and had a job as the Music Director of a church. He was not a homosexual, and in fact, had eighteen surviving children. That has not changed the notes, rhythm, or content of his music. I still love it.

Wagner was an anti-Semite! YIKES! I never played “The Bridal Chorus” at Jewish weddings, because I didn’t want to offend my clients. And yet, a client in Florida insisted I play it as the bride walked down the aisle. When I mentioned it was Wagner, my client said “Nu? Music is Music. And I want that song!”

Music is Music. Some of the most amazing music has been composed by drug addicts, sexual deviants, and really awful people. That does not change the notes, rhythm, or content. I still like what I like, and don’t like what I don’t like.

And THAT is the way it should be taught.
