Ooooo, The Woodshed.
Ooooo, blasted!
I’m sure James is all cry faced now.
As Ive said before, Comeys simplest defense would be to claim that the contents of his memos were 100% bullsh!t (they cant be legally deemed classified if they arent true). How the hell does a prosecutor prove otherwise without calling the President of the United States as a witness?
WHEN DO THE TAXPAYERS GET THEIR $32 MILLION BACK FOR THE PHONY COMEY RUSSIA INVESTIGATION
How does Comey shield himself from the self-admitted consequence of his trying to trigger the special council? Lying in memos that do not belong to you is not a defense. The duplicity is strong in Comey.
He cannot plead duplicity without pleading guilty to abuse of authority.
The guy may be a dishonest, duplicitous bastard. That doesnt necessarily make him a criminal.
Pretty sure nothing will happen.

Trump Takes James Comey — Who Just Got Blasted By DOJ Inspector General — To The Woodshed
Fixed it.
Not surprised Comey hardly got a slap on the wrest.
STE=Q
Jeff Sessions publicly defended the prosecutors in the Cliven Bundy case, whose case was thrown out with prejudice for prosecutorial misconduct by Gloria Navarro.
Bill Barr legally defended pro bono Lon Horiuchi, the unrepentant assassin of Vicki Weaver, who stood on her own porch at Ruby Ridge with her daughter, not a rifle, in her arms.
How about sedition? These things do not all exist as separate entities, devoid of context - not in the real world, where hicks in the hinterland go to jail for such actions. Cases have been tried and won based upon circumstantial evidence.
I do not see any such fastidious delicacy as you consistently apply being applied toward Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, or Roger Stone.
Summarizing the defenses of Comey I have seen here and elsewhere, it appears many hold the position that the memos were classified retroactively, and thus Comey did nothing actually illegal.
I opine that if this exact conduct had been perpetrated against Obama while in office, then the official position would have been that any such discussion with a SITTING PRESIDENT is by default classified from the moment it takes place, and the Director of the FBI, above all, would be expected to understand and respect that.
I further opine that the cookie-cutter conservatives - whom I consider to be sophists - who appear constitutionally (N.B. not Constitutionally) incapable of losing faith in their beloved institutions, would rationalize an opposite response; to wit:
Against Trump: I don’t like Comey, but he didn’t actually break any statutory law.
Against Obama: I don’t like Obama, but his Presidential prerogative was clearly violated.
We have abundant evidence of actual, deliberate sedition by appointed - not elected - Federal officers.
But sedition is such an old-fashioned statute. Who cares?
From what i have heard on thradio, it was criminal, just not to the extent to prosecute at this time.
I am sick and tired of some being more equal than others.
It reeks of 1984.
Agree, this whole mess stinks worse than the SF streets.
pathetic when you fail and them make so much noise.
Hopefully a case of going after a few peanuts or continuing and finding a few bushels of peanuts that tie in with other’s related crimes...
“I hope he is in for a rude awakening on the FISA and other perjuries he committed.”
You’re dreaming. Nothing will happen to him and he knows it. As my sister has said, most likely a deal was cut. They end the investigations of Trump in exchange for all the bad guys walking free forever.
STOP the theatrics... just INDICT and PROSECUTE!
