A friend of mine is a highly acclaimed mastering engineer who re-mastered HC. He mentioned that a new tape formulation that promised higher sound quality was introduced in the studios at that time.
However, the new tape began disintegrating so my friend needed to literally "bake the master tape" to "reglue" the tape particles so it could be used for the remastering.

I would never vote for Joe. I stopped listening to him a year ago. I thought he cared about conservatism. He only cares about getting elected. He says he is for cops and military. But thats unless Trump is for cops and military, then there is something wrong with it. Joe just hates Trump. He would vote for Nancy before he would vote for Trump. He says he is for the second amendment, but not the way Trump is. If Trump is for something, Joe takes the other side. Joe needs to slink off into some corner somewhere.
