“New York City is the home of the best thin crust, original pizza in the world”

No, it’s not.

The reason given was a matter of nearly $170,000 in unpaid state taxes. (For the record, the owner claims to have paid all taxes due.)

First, we should know what is true. 2nd, either taxes are extremely high or this place sells millions of dollars worth of pizzas.

When I saw this article, I was hoping it would be about the ongoing debate over whether pineapple belongs on pizza.

Cuomo is going to find he just bit off more than he can chew. Nobody messes with Di Fara’s. Not even a relative of Fredo.

The owner claims taxes were paid? It should be easy to verify if that is true.

I’ve heard New Yorkers have their favorite pizza places, and that there are numerous family owned pizza places there.

Word from the street is that the state screwed up big time, and the store is already open again.

Our two-day local nightmare has come to an end: According to an Instagram post shared last night and another shared this afternoon, Di Fara Pizza will reopen at 2 p.m. today after being seized by tax authorities on August 20. All hail the pizza gods, may they always smile upon us.

If they are behind on State taxes, how far behind are they on Fed taxes?

You’d be better off paying mob street tax then dealing with these two gangsters and their government.

Di Fara’s seems like a perfect Chapter 11 candidate, and that’s probably the quickest way to get the doors opened.

Oh great! You’re just trying to start an argument. Why not go for the holy grail and ask if chili has beans in it?
