President Trump knows a bad deal when he sees one. He extricated the United States from President Barack Obama’s disastrous nuclear accord with Iran. He pulled us out of an arms-control agreement with Russia that Vladimir Putin repeatedly violated. But if news reports are accurate, the State Department is about to capitulate to the Taliban, al-Qaeda’s longtime ally, as U.S. forces are withdrawn from Afghanistan. The president should reject this deal.

+1 Exactly right, I’ve been trying to tell people this for years.
Nobody can articulate a strategic US interest, or an essential US Interest that warrants leaving US Troops in Afghanistan in any numbers.
Maybe a Brigade of Special operators and their support units.
That’s it.
But I want no US presence in Afghanistan at any level.
The bad guys can have it. All of it.
We have more important interests just about everywhere else, especially here at home.
Iran, India, China and Russia...this is your problem. We’re turning it over to whomever wants it the most.
Or, at all.
I thought negotiations tanked when the Taliban blew up the wedding in Kabul over the weekend?

I would gladly help them, if they were willing to drop the islamic government, and obliterate the Taliban...but being an islamic state means there is zero point zero point in wasting our time there, there will always be war, there will always be terrorism, and there will always be oppression, and I for one do not feel like subsidizing it
