Her deployments don’t count against her, she would have had a home address to go home to while on leave. Her parents were American citizens, she was born in American Samoa. Hawaii is an American state. So from 1981 to 2000 she was in America accept for 2 years in the Phillipines and she did not give up any American citizenship.
So the question would be when did she go to the Phillipines? If she was in American states from age 0 to 14 then she qualifies according to the interpretation I think you are pushing. She may have finished her last 2 years of HS in the Phillipines.

The point is, Tulsi is echoing Trumps foreign policy, his clearly stated opposition to regime change wars. Remember, Trump called Bush’s invasion of Iraq one of the stupidest foreign policy decisions in US in history. Tulsi agrees. Maybe Caesar wouldn’t but that’s for the classics professors to hash out

I’m not saying this in defense of Tulsi, because you are likely right on with your assessment. But Tulsi is very likable, and that is worth a great deal in politics, perhaps more than positions and policies. Plus, she’s something of an unknown factor and you know how people love them.
