Maryland schools aim to include LGBT and disability rights in history curriculum

Maryland school officials are developing curriculum standards for history classes to include lessons about the fight for civil rights for the LGBT community and Americans with disabilities.

If the changes are approved, Maryland would join at least four other states that have taken steps to require public schools to teach lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, which advocates say has long been absent from textbooks and classroom lessons.

Last month, dozens of state lawmakers signed a letter calling on Maryland school officials to craft new curriculum standards addressing the rights of LGBT and disabled communities. The letter specifically mentioned the 50th anniversary in June of the Stonewall riots in Manhattan, and the other states that have recently passed similar standards through legislation.

I am sure public school students in MD have no clue where Antietam is or why it is so important but they will be able to give me the complete sanitized bio of Harvey Milk.

I think the main function of public schools today is free daycare for parents that have sold themselves into indentured slavery.

They’ll be portrayed as heroes and victims of AIDS, not promiscuous transmitters

There will be no mention if disproportionate STDs, suicides, mental health, or pedophilia

How about a basic course in epidemiology? And there are lots of homemade rat trap designs that could be built in a shop class.

Most of it will be ‘made up’ and attributed as ‘well our forefathers thought’ this stuff. No evidence just perceived ‘thoughts’ from the past.

Cong Elijah Cummings must be sorry he opened his big mouth about border kids.
Many detrimental facts are coming out which make him look like a simpleton.

“We found Baltimore drowning in taxpayer dollars,” Open the Books CEO Adam Andrzejewski wrote.
(Forbes editorial last Wednesday).
<><> Baltimore reportedly has 13,522 employees with a combined payroll that exceeds $821 million annually.
<><> The mayor’s office paid $7 million for 111 employee salaries in 2018;
<><> The mayor paid $1 million for (cough) public relations fees.

==============================

But can Baltimore explain this?

Baltimore’s schools pay another 10,770 employees a combined payroll of $619.3 million—
<><> $79.1 million is spent outside the classroom,
<><> $11.4 million on psychologists, $16.4 million for social workers, $7.4 million for counselors,
<><> $2.7 million for bus drivers,
<><> $41.2 million for assorted principals and assistant principals.

AND THIS
<><> NPR reported students at Baltimore’s public schools are freezing.....
<><> Baltimore winter classrooms do not have any heat. Kids are freezing.
<><> Baltimore public schools spend a whopping $15,000 plus per student per year,
<><> but Democrat PTB say they can’t afford to heat the classrooms.

IS KEEPING BALTIMORE SCHOOL KIDS FREEZING A DEMOCRAT
SCAM TO SCROUNGE MORE TAX DOLLARS FOR THEMSELVES

================================

Cummings voted $4.6 billion for illegal immigrants but homeless people are struggling in West Baltimore — two blocks from his district.

One Black resident said: "I haven’t seen Elijah Cummings in ten years. The last time was after the death of Freddie Gray, which was quickly politicized."

But it is soooo much easier for the “idiot-priviledged” folks that have been employed to educate our children to waste the children’s time “teaching” them non-factual TRIVIA.

Don’t have time to teach cursive reading and writing any longer in order to be able to read our U.S. Constitution, but have time to teach about less than 4% of affected population.

And these teachers affects our kids’ judgments for the rest of their lives.

“Equal protection under the law refers to the notion that all men are created equal. Equal protection requires equal treatment of individuals regardless of race, gender, or national origin.”

I guess this is not good enough for some groups in this country.

Nonsense.

The only reason any “LGBT” or “disabled” person should be noted in any history is because of something - event - that is otherwise historically important REGARDLESS of that person’s identity as a “LGBT” or “disabled” person. If it is ONLY about that identity and a political agenda about that identity it is NOT “history”. That’s just their agenda.

And why should I trust this curriculum? After all, present-day activists are trying to rewrite Stonewall as a rebellion by transgender people rather than the simple, violent reaction to a police raid of a Mafia-owned bar that it was.

Maryland “Freak State” PING!
