Commentary Useful Idiot The curious case of Max Blumenthal AUG, 2019 BY BRUCE BAWER
Its back cover features encomia from Reza Aslan, Andrew Cockburn, and Oliver Stone, and its jacket copy promises that readers will find in its pages the real story behind Americas dealings with the world and proof that the extremist forces that now threaten peace across the globe are the inevitable flowering of American imperial design. The book is The Management of Savagery: How Americas National Security State Fueled the Rise of Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Donald Trump, and its author is Max Blumenthal, the son of longtime Clinton associate Sidney Blumenthal. How the son of a member of the Clinton inner circle came to write a book that is, in large part, an indictment of both Bills presidency and Hillarys tenure as secretary of stateas well as, not incidentally, an apologia for some of the most brutal tyrants and terrorist groups on the planetis quite a story.
It begins decades ago, when Sidney, now 70, left a career in Beltway journalism to become an adviser in the Clinton White House. Ever since, he has been a major satellite in the Clinton orbitwriting a flattering book about Bills presidency, taking a leading role in Hillarys 2008 campaign, working for several years thereafter at the Clinton Foundation, and serving, to this day, not only as an official consultant to a Clinton super PAC and the Clinton-linked Media Matters for America but also as an informal Clinton confidant, counselor, and (as some would put it) courtier.

Useful Idiot ALERT!
Looks like projection to me.
What a completely disgusting excuse for a human. The author does us a service detailing all of this, though it cant have been fun to wade through all of the guy’s writing.
The other guy mentioned - Ben Norton - is even worse. He was even praising GULAG camps. These commie types always end up serving Moscow.
A long article to tell you that ALL children of liberals are effed up. Really effed up.
>>>How Americas National Security State Fueled the Rise of Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Donald Trump<<<
One of these is not like the others.
Long read but interesting. Not surprised though.
After taking a closer look at the background of the gay-activist author Bruce Bawer, I'd agree.
Are you referring to Bruce Bawer, the homosexual rights activist who moved to Europe to get away from all the stifling American Evangelicalism?
Yes, I'm quite sure he wrote this piece as a service to conservatives.
I dont care who does it, I’m just glad that someone had the patience to write this article.
What I found surprising is that his elderly father backed him on occasions.
It is no surprise that the far-left calls Republicans fascist, but young Max went so far as saying Obama and Clinton are far-right fascists too.
Commies are weird.
Nothing surprises me about either one as everything they believe are based on lies. In fact everyone he used to cheer for are useful idiots as well. They will become among the first to be eliminated when socialism takes over in this country and that socialism turns to violence as socialism always does.
