How can they refer to it as an apparent suicide instead of an apparent murder? There’s far more motive and proof of the latter than the former.

He hanged himself from the underside of the bunkbed. Remember that a gallows and trapdoor aren’t necessary to effectuate a hanging. A traditional hanging in which the neck is broken — e.g., Saddam Hussein or Nuremberg — is often meant for public consimption, but it’s quite easy to “hang” oneself simply by cutting off circulation to the brain. This is why there’s been a quiet epidemic of accidental deaths during autoerotic asphyxiation. I heard one corrections officer describe how a suicidal inmate “hanged” himself by looping a strip of material thru the small drainage grate in the floor and around his neck, then spinning around of the floor like Curly of the Three Stooges. He wasn’t found soon enough and died.
Maybe it’s just me, but I figure any “news” about the man’s death is just more disinformation.
