Calling this film a “satire” is the Hollywood version of when civilian leftists call for violence against conservatives on Twitter then claim they were making “a joke” when called out on it.
It isn’t “satire”. It is wish fulfillment by liberals.
It is only “satire” to liberals who actually think conservatives want to hunt down and kill ethnic minorities the way they accuse cops of doing. Only in that regard is it “turnaround”. But it is NOT done to be funny, and therefore not really satire.
It isn’t the gun violence, it the pure ridiculous stupidity of the subject matter.
When the SHTF there will be plenty of bad people with guns, don’t kid yourself on that. Full blown civil wars are never a “slam dunk”. There are a lot of ferals in urban areas that are well armed and ruthless beyond the understanding of us normals. And after razing those urban areas they WILL fan out into the countryside in organized groups.
While the “Civil War” was really a war between the states and not a true civil war, the industrial north expected a slam dunk at Bull Run and a couple of months long war, not a 4 year bloodbath.
A genuine civil war in America is going to be a horrible, long bloodbath with inhuman acts of genocide and cruelty.
The city of Los Angeles has not released gang population figures since 2005, for good reason. It is scary. Over a 10 year reporting period the (official) number ranged from 40k to 60k, the majority being hispanic. The cities will be decimated in a short time and then these animals will move outward.
for now...
now is not the right time to release this film.
Special Report panel pans ‘The Hunt’Video
According to a source, Universal insiders feel that doing the right thing was more important than releasing the movie because of the current climate.
There are no official plans for the future of “The Hunt.” It could still be released at a later date or move to a streaming service.
