And Ginny is from Cincinnati, per a commenter.
Not native Texan.
:(
well the family unit today is everything but united. We watched this fall for many years now. They have their career path they’re on leaving behind them a trail of broken homes. But they take great pride in their successes outside the home while they grumble about their home life.

“A grown woman triggered by a logo.”
Red flag her fat butt.
The do-gooder Left is cleansing the culture of Indian references that were introduced as an honor and that used to be a ubiquitous part of the US.
I truly wish these little groups of easily offended suburbanites, with nothing better to do, virtue-signaling their “goodness”, would take up a hobby and stop bothering everyone else.
Seriously, sports teams and schools could make themselves bulletproof by hiring tribes to create inoffensive, tribal-motif artwork including mascots and logos, cheers, you name it.
In exchange, they could get normal art commission money for it, and if it is for a pro team, gifts like box seats and discounts.
I’ve been to major Indian arts fairs and they produce some high quality work, that they sell reasonably but are later marked up terribly by galleries. So if you deal directly with the tribe you save a ton of money.
Put it to a vote and everyone must vote ,everyone
Sam Bass would be a better mascot anyways....
Wow! What’s more racist then wanting to remove historical names & symbols from public view?
I have 4 nicknames to replace the Braves name: 1) Afraids 2) Morons 3)Liberals and 4) Idiots...😋
That guy is more of an escort than a mascot.

Exactly! In spite of the cruelty, kidnappings & murders that the natives also imposed upon the settlers, there was some sense of friendship & respect among the natives & settlers. Whatever was right or wrong we can’t change history, yet we can remember it in memoriam and or celebration, according to what’s acceptable.
I propose that they change the mascot to a BEAVER.
They can re-use the same letters.
And remember children: there are boy beavers and girl beavers.
This could be a lot of fun!!!
