All according to plan.
My husband was an associate scout leader while our son advanced through the ranks. My son’s two best friends’ fathers also served in leadership positions. It was a fun eight years for them all and they learned a lot about the outdoors and leadership. All three boys got their Eagles within a year of each other and all helped with the other’s projects. I hate what they’ve done to the Scouts. My son has such scorn for them now where he used to take pride. Liberals destroy everything they touch.
I was always surprised that other boys’ dads would turn over supervision of their sons to strangers. Why? Of course there were many single moms who wanted their sons to have the influence of strong men in their son’s lives. I would bet that most of the abuse was centered on boys who had no fatherly presence.
Is it at all possible that these facts represent how it is - from within - that the BSA had the internal votes to change its policy regarding “gays” being openly known and accepted in scouting??? What I am talking about here even involves “friends” in scouting of someone that was a “gay” scout leader, and the friend had decided that was OK and the friend was also in a position shaping the eventual votes on the BSA board. Just speculation but this current revelation makes me wonder.

From my limited experience it seemed that a lot of scout leaders were also scout fathers. Having said that I am always suspicious of adult males who position themselves to be around children. I agree with your statement.
Back when BSA was morally straight and meant it, I would have preferred to make every single case public. No damage from bad publicity would be as bad as the damage from one of these leftist perverts gaining access to another innocent child.
These days, I’m not sure it matters. BSA’s management has been turned over to America’s enemies, and I have seen no signs that decent members and local leaders have the backbone to take the organization back in the face of corrupt and sleazy leadership.
BSA banned Sodomites in adult leadership before the corporate bullies threw a hissy fit to let them in. Are they going to join BSA in paying for the inevitable results?
Too bad they got rid of their requirement that Scouts be “straight.”
I believe a great many of the allegations and investigations predate the official policy change allowing homosexual members and leaders. But they should have seen this coming.

Nearly every leftist I know operates in the realm of emotions and slogans. They are crowd-followers and usually illogical. Know your facts and statistics well, and simply state them clearly and firmly.
I was in the scouts following my brother. At first we had lots of fathers assisting while the boys ran the show. I guess they were there to make sure no one got hurt, otherwise, it was in an observation capacity.
In the end we were more a babysitting service. Parents would drop the kids and disappear leaving the child.

Since the BSA allows children as young as 11, and even 10 if they have completed fifth grade, to join, you are not categorically correct. (I assume you would not try to argue that a ten-year-old boy is an adolescent.)
We are dealing with overlapping subsets of perverts: pederast (man and boy in an ongoing interaction}; pedophile; ephebophile.
Now that girls are allowed to join, it opens up the latter two subsets, and may even allow korephile to be added.
By whatever name, abuse is abuse. We are a nation of laws. If a man seduces an adolescent male who is not legally of age to consent, then it is a crime.
The revelation that the lawyers had identified a small army who they claim are previously unknown scout sex abusers was contained in the lawsuit filed Monday in Philadelphia by a Pennsylvania man identified only as “S.D.” who claims he was assaulted “hundreds” of times over a span of four years in Scouts.
Hundreds? That’s a sh!tload of camp outs.
Any large organization where kids are alone with adults will have pedos. It is statistics that in any large enough group there will be pedophiles. They will also gravitate to these positions.
Draw em, quarter em, and make an example to others of what happens if they offend.
