The owner of the website 8chan claims the El Paso shooter’s manifesto was not uploaded by Patrick Crusius, and another man, claiming to have grown up next to him, says “Patrick has autism and was in special ed classes… He couldn’t have written that document.”
In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at an El Paso, Texas Walmart on Saturday, the liberal media turned the blame on President Trump, other prominent conservatives and Trump supporters altogether.
Despite the fact that the suspect made it clear his views, “predate Trump,” and that he supported a universal basic income and automation, concepts no Trump supporters agree with, the media took the anti-immigrant manifesto and ran with it.
Jim Watkins, owner of 8chan, the website the manifesto was uploaded to, released a statement Tuesday claiming the manifesto was not uploaded by the Walmart shooter.
“I don’t know if he wrote it or not, but it was not uploaded by the murderer. That is clear, and law enforcement was made aware of this before most people had even heard the horrific news,” Watkins said.

Yet that did not stop the media from running with it and the gun grabbers to go nuts.
Do the media do any sort of fact checking? Or do they just run with a story which can bash Trump, and ask questions later?

the alleged “manifesto” was uploaded to 8ch ***AFTER*** the shooting. The alleged killer actually posted on INSTAGRAM (Facebook) but the media doesn’t want their assets shut down.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) can be used to mask the ultimate IP address, but I doubt in this case a VPN was used.
If the IP Address traces back to, say, Florida, moments before the shooter opened up in El Paso, TX, then clearly the shooter didn't upload the manifesto.
I think Watkins is lying. He is trying to keep his website alive.

You cannot and this is why you attack the messenger.
The -Chans don’t typically allow posting if you have a VPN active so that they may ban users who post illegal content, like child pornography. If they detect a masking of IP, you can’t post.
It’s why I’m not certain that the manifesto is authentic. If it was posted by the shooter, who didn’t intend to be caught, it would lead directly to him due to the location of the posters IP, whether from phone or computer. There is also a lot of “copypasta” circulating there, and someone could have easily taken the New Zealander’s manifesto and posted the same content in their own words.
We won’t know until someone delves into the whole thing a bit more deeply.
