Really? You surprised. This is a classic McCain tactic. Vote like a lib for 6 1/2 years, and poss as a tough conservative for the other 1 1/2... which just happens to be right around election time. A term in the Senate is 6 years not 8.
Nevertheless Lindsey seems to be doing better after the long overdue demise of the Admirals Son.
