DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) A Delaware County man faces several charges after he allegedly posed as a Good Morning America producer and a New York Times reporter. District Attorney Kat Copeland made the announcement on Wednesday morning.
Copeland said Nikolaos Tzima Hatziefstathiou, also known as Nik the Hat, has been charged with creating a false, racist government email, identity theft and tampering.
Hatziefstathiou claimed he was the editor in chief for YC News.
Copeland said it was all in an effort to obtain government documents.
From April 23 to April 25, Nik Hatziefstathiou, after creating fake email accounts posing as Stephanie Wash, a Good Morning America producer, and Liam Stack, a New York Times reporter, sent several emails to the Delaware County District Attorneys Office repeatedly asking for any reports as well as a comment regarding a claimed decade-long scheme involving Delaware County agencies,' Copeland said.
Authorities say they contacted the journalists and they say they did not send those emails.

Nik “hats off to you”?
(That appears to be the pronunciation of it)
Is this real?
What did he do that Steele did not?
Wow what an impressive resume!
He could work in the Obama administration with all those lies!
Oddly enough, no one could tell the difference between the phony and the fake journalists.
What kind of name is that? Greek?
What was his ultimate goal in getting these docs?
“Oddly enough, no one could tell the difference between the phony and the fake journalists.”
Even the Mormons haven’t got that name in the database
Stephanie Wash, one of the people this dude posed as, frequently worked with Bob Woodruff.
To get an idea of what kind of docs he would have been looking for ... Liam Stack, the other reporter he posed as:
Liam Stack is a reporter for The New York Times. ... holds an MA in Middle Eastern politics and Arabic from New York University (2012) and a BA in International affairs, Islamic history, and Arabic from Georgetown University (2005). During college, he studied abroad at The American University in Cairo. ...
She’s been reporting on race issues in the military and on the Smolett case
Bump...info on the reporters he posed as for clues
:^) I'd love to be the warmup speaker at the Pubbie nominating convention.
Isnt qnyone more concerned that our collectivist lynching media has exclusive access to sensitive or important government informations?
It is like the banks with the Federal Reserve first dibs!
“Watch out, it’s contagious!”
Only in Delco...lol
