Understanding Why 'The Squad' Screams 'Racism'
Townhall.com ^ | July 24, 2019 | Star Parker

Posted on 07/24/2019 5:18:28 AM PDT by Kaslin

Unfortunately, the U.S. House of Representatives is starting to look more and more like America's universities.

Freshmen show up not to learn but to teach. They think they already know it all and see it as their personal mission to set straight the faculty, university administrators and the world.

So we see it with "The Squad," the now-famous far-left freshmen four in the House -- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley -- who believe they have been elected to a first term in Congress to reinvent what they think is a failed America and set straight the leadership of their party and the nation.

Fortunately, most Americans do not share this highly vocal four's negativism about America. In a new Gallup poll, 70 percent agreed with the statement "If you work hard and play by the rules, you will be able to achieve the American dream in your lifetime." Even a significant majority -- 61 percent -- of households earning less than $40,000 agreed.

It goes without saying that immigration is a high-priority issue on the national agenda because millions from around the world want to come here. There is no more sought-out destination than the USA, and the reason is that no nation in the world offers more opportunity.

So why is this dubious group of naysayers commanding such attention?

The first rule on the list of Rules for Radicals, authored by famed left-wing community organizer Saul Alinsky, is "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."

Our age of technology and social media adds immeasurable power to Alinsky's advice to gain attention way beyond the support you actually have.

Another Alinsky rule, "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon," provides the ammunition.

These four young freshmen Democrats have no interest in a public discourse of deliberation where we soberly seek what is true and what really works. Their only interest is selling their dogma.

So, following the advice of Alinsky, they get attention not by developing quality ideas for public policy reform and engaging in thoughtful discourse about these ideas, but through sensational hype of dogma and character assassination of those who disagree.

As a result, the discussion is not about the merits of the socialism they are selling, about their big-government answers to health, housing, education and lifting up the poor, but about answering their charge that anyone who does not agree with them is a racist.

Attacking the messenger, rather than discussing the message, is a well-established tactic of those whose aspiration is political power rather than seeking truth.

Demagoguery is an age-old threat to freedom and the democratic process. There will always be those who long for power and will try to get it with heat rather than light.

There is only one weapon I am aware of to fight this: doing the hard work of informing people and getting the truth to them.

The opposition to socialism, and support for freedom is not about being racist.

It's about believing in human potential, the uniqueness of every single person, and that no system serves human potential better than freedom.

This is not dogma. There's tons of research and data that supports this conclusion.

And it is this that has made and makes the USA so great.

The task is particularly formidable among our youth, where so many have abandoned traditional faith, and among our poor, where the harshness of life increases susceptibility to political demagoguery.

It is no contradiction to say our country and its tradition of freedom is what makes us great, but to also be open and honest about how we have problems.

Most of these problems -- fiscal problems and social problems -- are manifest in areas where we have departed from our tradition of freedom and allowed big-government answers into our lives.

Don't agree? This is the discussion we will have in 2020.

Yup. Definitely a Saul Alinsky ploy.

We must not bend. Cram it back down their throats like Trump did. Call THEM racists.

“...there is only one weapon...”. Sorry, that is demonstrably false as we all know. It may be the last POLITICAL weapon but we all know what comes when politics fails, as it is currently doing.

Because they belong to certified victim groups and enjoy moral superiority over White/Christian/normalsexual/bodypartsintact people.

Well chosen words, and true.

These 4 are controlled by others.
Who is financing them and telling them what to say?

Their deck has only one type of card. Its the worn out, pathetic race card in its various forms. Decent people must not be intimidated into silence when it is played. Nonsense and evil must be confronted and defeated whatever color it may be. It is patronizing and condescending not to criticize and take on black people in a vigorous manner when they are wrong.

It’s really that simple.

Because it WORKS.

They’re taking the EXACT playbook of the ADL/SPLC, changing just a few words, then mechanically spewing out the same nonsense.

You’re no good, you OWE me, you have to commemorate my suffering under you, HERE is how to make amends, wash & repeat.

There was a Rabbi living in a threatened shtetl. He went down to the riverbank, gathered up mud and formed it, like clay into a dybbuk with powerful arms and almost no neck. He recited some holy incantations, bringing it alive. The dybbuk loyally did battle with the enemies of the shtetl, smiting them all, and all was well for a time. One night the Rabbi forgot to put his dybbuk to rest for the Sabbath and he went into a frenzy, attacking all comers without discrimination. The Rabbi was forced to do battle with his own dybbuk, himself.

The short answer as to why they do it: Because it works. The only resistance to it ever offered accepts their premises and moral authority, and puts the target entirely on defense. It is pure offense. It only works because of what Ayn Rand called”the sanction of the victim”, but work it most certainly does.

Race (and (gag) "communities of color") are the lifeblood of the Democrat Party---Dems have no other issues thanks to Trump. Obeisance to white liberals has actually harmed communities of color, as “color leaders” consider interacting w/ Pres Trump a travesy. So affirmative action isn’t enough?

.....one senior Democrat aide pointed out that identity ringleader, AOC, becomes "a woman of color" when it’s convenient.
Nothing she’s fought for aligns with communities of color. AOC fils to mention she got out of bartending and into Congress
w/ funding by elitist white liberals. Could the same be said of the other Squad puppets?....

Rag-head Omar made several moves upon landing on our precious American soil:
<><> She became a citizen AND an eternal victim.
<><> She joined the Democrat party,
<><> She learned to speak the language of oppression.

She thoroughly understands our system (which she holds in complete contempt).

She was coached, colluding with the Muslim umlauts to whom she is in obeisance
(all of them lying in wait to make us submit to Sharia law).

She knows our system well----and is adept at the dentity politics game.

She is not using it not for the intended purposes but for sub rosa nefarious purposes.

According to her Washington Post profile, Omar wasted no time....
she “felt betrayal” immediately upon setting foot in America.

It is a POWER word.

When you give a word such power, expect bullies and activists to USE it.

A Christian demands back pay in Pakistan? Land owner screams blasphemer, knowing the word will get the person assaulted. All they had to do was point and say the magic word.

A few hundred years ago, the Christian West had to put on trials for witchcraft to give some level of protection from the falsely accused because so many WERE accused of being a witch.

Liberal bullies accuse people of racism to sic a violent liberal mob on the target. A woman gets in a dispute in a checkout line? Takes his picture, calls him racist, posts on social media. Two hispanic women in an argument in New York? One Hispanic woman posts edited video of the argument, accusing the autistic Hispanic woman who didn’t yield to her of being a white racist. Hate mob goes after the “white” racist.
