Right up until the day of the election Levin was basically giving Hillary Clinton his endorsement. He didn't say it, but he just kept hammering Trump. He's not a conservative he's a populist. Populism is dangerous, etc etc etc. Relentlessly, every night. Now if he has railed against McCain or Romney or Bush as not being true believers then okay, he's consistent and has a personal litmus test. But he quickly embraced them as the lesser of two evils and eagerly supported them both. Not so with Trump, with Trump his "support" was tempered with warnings of how dangerous he really is.

It was just unlistenable. He came across as a never-Trumper like George Will who would eagerly pull the lever for Hillary rather than see Trump in office. At least he has seen the light, though I now have some doubts and wonder how much of his conversion is real and how much is dollars and cents driven.

Levin might have been a never Trumper at one time but I'm glad to have him on the Trump Train now.

We must learn to forgive. I mean, if we want to see a Trump landslide in 2020, we are going to need a lot of people voting for him this time that didn't vote for him last time.

You can’t answer the question because in doing so you would have to admit that every economist in the world, EXCEPT a US economist, would tell us that protective tariffs are great effective tools and they have been using them against the USA for decades because the USA foolishly refuses to retaliate. If there are any young Freepers lurking out there ole bert here is prime example of what I call a Free Traitor™. He cannot acknowledge that the USA is the only country NOT using protective tariffs and he is all on board with the rest of the world using mercantilism to destroy US industry. He is also in favor of global labor arbitrage.
