“This is the time to shake that table. . . . We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice,” Pressley said, seemingly taking a stab at the Congressional Black Caucus, which is allied with Pelosi. “We don’t need any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”

We don’t need is any “black” voices at all. Not in your meaning of the term.

We need un-hyphenated American voices.

America can always improve. In fact, America has improved. A lot. The trouble with your “black” voice is that “the issue is never the issue. The issue is the revolution.” The worst thing about America, from your selfish POV, is precisely that - over time - it actually delivers for the people. You want credit - oh, so much credit - simply for criticizing, and mouthing good intentions.

Socialists can prattle about smart phones being “a right” - but socialists never would have generated the smart phone, and certainly not for the common man. It took capitalist entrepreneurs to do that. And the same with “quality medical care.” No socialist was ever gonna develop the MRI. In fact socialists - because of their fixation on price - stall the drive for improvement, which not only stops improvement but causes quality to decline - because "if you’re not trying to improve, you are getting worse.”
