I don’t think that Nike should associate with any known racists, especially Koeprenick.
And will this be reported on any of the MSM outlets? Of course not. And that just shows how pathetic the media is these days.

“Skeptical”....Of what? Of whether this will have any effect on Nike’s decision making or of the sincerity of the William Owens and the CAAP statement?
Personally, I believe their stated opinions to be completely sincere and only time will tell the effect it will or will not have on the future behavior of Nike. If it starts costing them measurably on their bottom line, they’ll drop him like a hot rock.
As I often say - you've been fighting for equality forever. Then in a 30 or 40 year period, you are politically replaced by a Latin invasion and made redundant.

Groups like CAAP have a HUGE task ahead of them if they will accept the task. The biggest problem in the Black American community is the destruction of the ‘family structure’ started by Johnson. When you have an out of wedlock birthrate of 70+ percent what do people expect they are going to get. Somehow family structure has got to be re-instilled in the community before things will ever get better.
Some of the most racist and Anti-American diatribes I have ever heard have come out of black churches.
Personal experience. As in sitting right in the congregation.
Until they stop vote in blocks above 90 percent for anti-American democrats/liberals, I will remain skeptical.
Again, my experience.
Growing up in the south, my observation was that no matter how poor, black congregations were still very conservative. Southern democrats at the time we’re also still supportive of america, even if they promoted bigger government. While the politicians have moved left, it would not surprise me that a significant portion of the evangelical black community feel like the party has left them.

Ok, so you believe their statement to be disingenuous. What would be their motivation? How could black organization benefit from calling for a company to disassociate itself from a particular “black man”?
Blacks, whites, browns and yellows should sever ties with Nike. Should have decades ago.
No need. Nike has already severed its relationship with most Americans. Possibly the dumbest thing since the Edsel and New Coke.
