Long before President Donald Trump exposed media corruption by popularizing the term fake news, my family was subjected to a battle of deceptive reporting about my sister, Terri Schiavo. One-sided journalism continues today, as demonstrated by a recent Tampa Bay Times article titled, Inside the Terri Schiavo case: Pinellas judge who decided her fate opens up, by Leonora LaPeter Anton.
Ms. Anton writes about Judge George Greer of Pinellas County Florida Circuit Court, who ruled that Terris estranged husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, could remove her food and water (via feeding tube). Greers decision was enforced on March 18, 2005. Thus began my sisters grotesque and heart-rending death due to dehydration and starvation that lasted almost 14 days.
For those who do not remember, Terri, at the age of 26, experienced a still inexplicable collapse that resulted in a severe brain injury. In typical media fashion, Anton distorts Terris condition, omits important facts about the case, and most egregiously, Michaels apparent conflicts of interest in his pursuit to end Terris life. At the same time, she unapologetically portrays Judge Greer as the victim, requesting sympathy for all the suffering and hate he endured during Terris protracted legal battle and eventual death. This is the same judge who never visited Terri in the five years he presided over the case, despite several requests to do so. Not once did he see the innocent disabled person he sentenced to death.

PING!
And Governor Jeb! Bush valiantly stepped in to stop her euthanasia... what? wait.. Oh. Nevermind.
Life means nothing to the media except when a criminal is condemned for murder.
Old Judge Greer who is now retired has written a book. I saw him not too long ago at a mediation where he mentioned this book. The doctor mentioned that was sued is still my doctor. A terrific guy. I was there throughout this whole mess. One day Jesse Jackson showed up! The whole thing was Heartbreaking. And I was very surprised of the outcome. I never thought this could happen in America.
So glad Bobby spoke up and wrote this response.
Judge Greer will one day stand before the Judge of the universe, as will we all, to give account for his life and deeds.
I suspect that it’s a sign of worse things to come.
Has Greer died yet?
Every time I see or hear her name, my heart aches.
I can only believe that it was God’s plan to take her home to care for her Himself, giving her that new resurrected body, free of pain and disability, to spend eternity in His love.
...leave room for Gods wrath, for it is written: It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord.
“And Governor Jeb! Bush valiantly stepped in to stop her euthanasia... what? wait.. Oh. Nevermind.”
And Governor Jeb! Bush valiantly stepped in to stop her MURDER... what? wait.. Oh. Nevermind.
There, fixed it.
What a fracking COWARD!
I often quote Rush who said “Words mean things”.
I often rail against the left for their manipulation of the English language, they are good at it. They use it to their great advantage, We (conservatives) suck at it.
The Terri Schiavo tragedy/debacle was a perfect example of this. The word/phrase in this case was “vegetative state”.
This term was regurgitated over and over by the media.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw a Terri Schiavo video. I shouted out loud “But she’s AWAKE!!!!
I was flabbergasted! She was awake, alert, upright, following the movement of a balloon, she appeared somewhat aware of her surroundings.
VEGETATIVE STATE?????????????????????
She was misdiagnosed and we were conned.
Her husband could not ALLOW her to live because one day she just might recover enough to tell the truth of how she came to “fall” down the stairs.
Since the stairs didn’t fully work, the law and the government HAD TO finish the job.
This could NEVER happen in America, right?
Terri Schiavo and 60,069,971 dead babies SCREAM yes it can.
and counting
Sadly, Terri’s plight is what can happen if one marries the wrong person.
