Why did he lose reelection? His district was one of those rewritten by court action, resulting in a more diluted region. The dem who beat him, Elaine Luria, successfully conned enough voters into thinking she was some kind of centrist "independent voice."

The GOP probably won’t spend too much in the way of $$$ in this race. Mark Warner is one of the Senatorial “sainted ones.” Though he nearly was defeated by Ed Gillespie in the GOP wave election in 2014, he’d have to be caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy before voters boot him.
