I know, I know, people laugh at me, but I’m serious. I think in 2024 Kanye will be the GOP nominee.

I don’t think that after 5 more years of Trump ANY non-celebrity can get elected president. The current crop of boring yet insane DemoKKKrats shows they aren’t generating any excitement. I further would expect Kanye’s opponent would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Oy. I’m not certain that anything would surprise me at this point.

Well, I know it seems crazy now, but think of how Kanye has begun five years out positioning himself:

*He has made a strong alliance with Trump. I think in 2020 you’ll see Kanye working to turn out black vote, and in return, I think he and Trump have agreed that Trump will support him, not Pence, in 24.
*He has publicly begun standing up for conservatism (ok, he’s not William F. Buckley, Jr) in public and on shows and getting away with it.
*He has worked with Trump and Kim on the prison reform. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a spot on some board or committee Trump names in the future.

I don't think America is ready for a bi-polar President.

There are plenty of sane and sober leaders for the GOP to choose from...Josh Hawley is a name that comes to mind.

I hear you. Our culture has changed so much in the past two decades that it would take only the most astute observer to accurately predict what will happen next. Clearly, I’m not that person. :)

Sorry, but having read the entire article, I don’t see any example of Kanye “wiping the floor” with Letterman. Someone please enlighten me.

Ask yourself this: in 2009, would you ever have seen Donald Trump winning the presidency?

LS,

Certainly entertaining to think about...but, putting running the republic in his hands is scary...and the family drama...ugh...clearly if so, we’d have the largest first “lady” butt in the Whitehouse.

I am not counting Mooshell’s butt because it is that of a man.

I just think that policy/ideology isn’t going to cut it.

Far too many uninformed, culture-oriented voters. It’s a different world. I’d bet $10 that Hawley will never be pres. Or Pence.

Well, we’ve had some nearly unstable guys in there before. Nixon, Jackson.

Also, I do think Kanye has mentally straightened out in the past 3 years. And I can hear “one” argument-—are we to punish someone for mental illness they once had all their lives?

“I don’t think that after 5 more years of Trump ANY non-celebrity can get elected president”

I’ve been thinking along similar lines ever since Trump was elected. Not about Kanye, but about Trump setting the bar so high and making everyone else look so boring and dreary. I’ve been pondering occasionally about who will be next. I just haven’t come up with anyone.

I don’t know much about Kanye, other than he seems somewhat high-strung, but I do recall him saying he will run. He’s a a proud fan and friend of Trump and I respect him for that, at least.

Maybe, maybe not?

This is the only thing I know about Mr West.
https://wgntv.com/2018/10/19/kanye-west-eats-at-pepes-mexican-restaurant-in-naperville/

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Staff at the Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant in Naperville were shocked when an unexpected customer walked through the doors.

Rapper Kanye West visited the restaurant at 1270 E. Chicago Ave. around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, accompanied by eight bodyguards and three other people.

Refugio “Ref” Zamora said he has worked at the Naperville Pepe’s restaurant for 39 years and took West’s order. “He was just like any other customer — very humble and nice,” Zamora, still visibly excited about West’s visit.

“He was great. He was so classy and he took pictures with customers,” Rocush said. “It’s amazing how down to earth he is.”

According to The Napervile Sun, staff said West was “very humble and nice.” He ordered chicken stuffed tacos and then went over to The Cantina, or “The Can”, to play pool.

West took pictures with staff members, and was reportedly at the restaurant for about an hour and a half.

Before he left, he did an interview with a student from Naperville North High School for the school’s paper.

“In 2009, would you ever have seen Donald Trump winning the presidency?”

When I read, “The Art Of The Deal”, in the early ‘90s I thought he would make a good president. As far as it actually happening, I didn’t foresee that.

No, but he’s a notorious businessman. Kanye is a bipolar rapper.
