I smoked a brisket and pork butt for 16 hours. My neighbors were jealous, while they were lighting off fireworks, I was smoking the the neighborhood with delicious meat.
I was up every few hours to tend to the temperature and baste with my special sauce. Those same neighbors got to taste the fruits of my labor.
I have been told (by my wife, that passed away) that I should follow my passion.
