My only bad experience there was when invited to a November 2012 election watch party in the huge basement room. It was filled with twentysomething government and union bureaucrat apparatchiks and every time the Kenyan won another state they went nuts. After they switched the one remaining Fox News screen to CNN we bailed to the main restaurant floor where some level of sanity remained.
Racism - fundamentally just intolerance towards others. Leftists - fundamentally intolerant towards, well, everyone who dares not meet their standards of leftism. Ergo, leftists are by definition (and repeated examples) just as bad, perhaps even worse than even a genuine racist. Note, I don’t think there really is much if any racism here. What there actually is must be pretty low key and rare because I just don’t see it. I do see a whole lot of people with an agenda screaming it very incorrectly and inappropriately while they strive to manipulate people.

This is such an insightful observation and quote. The Left is proving over and over again that their ideas and arguments are inferior. For most, the first fallback is to charges of "racism". We need to start throwing this quote back in their faces with regularity because it is true.

That would make a great poster....including a picture of Pervey Joe rubbing the breast of a six year old, and / or Pervey Joe holding up a six month old boy by his groin for a picture. They did in this case. The headline was a bit of soup.
I know this place reasonably well. Mrs. jimfree and I have dined there a couple of times and twice I’ve been hired to provide dance entertainment for a corporate party in the Hill Country private room downstairs.
The food is great. When not doing the buffet, you go through a cafeteria line of sorts for your food choices and get drinks from a server at your table. It’s just below Chinatown and convenient to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Green/Yellow/Red Line Metro Station as well as Archives Station just a bit farther south on Yellow/Green.
We will make it a point to visit again very soon.
