She’s not old enough to remember busing....I remember it as a kid from the late 60’s in North Florida...
It was done in the middle of the year and we had to go double sessions...
The elementary kids went from like 7am to Noon or 1pm, got bused home and the High School kids started at 1pm and finished out the day.....
No parents white or black liked busing.....it did nothing but make people resent it.....
She has to be a fool to bring this issue back from the past....

New Jersey has the most segregated schools in the country. It is the only state in American where most school are either 100% white/asian or 100% black/hispanic. And I don’t need to tell you which schools are the best and which ones are the failures.

Why is she running on a 1960’s platform, that did not even affect her as a child? She went to a school that was 32% black, she took a bus because that was how kids go to school in most areas. Was she listening to Tupac and Biggie Smalls and smoking some MJ on that bus as well?

I escaped this menace of “busing” until the 6th grade. My brothers were pulled from school and sent to private school on those early grades which were shipped to reeducation camp.
Sixth grade was Lord of the Flies. We frequently had rocks thrown at our bus as it drove to and from school through black neighborhoods. Frequent fights broke out at school (fight were fairly infrequent before) between races. It was really just trying to get through the school year.
Where I live have lots of white Leftie Northeast Corridor households. We all live in the area, and pay a premium on the home price, because of the quality of the public schools students in that area. BUT there are other schools in the same district that are crap filled with feral brown and black kids. I am 100% sure if Kamala Harris is on the ballot and pushing her forced busing, no way she will get a single vote from these households. They do not want their kids bused to crappy schools or feral kids bused in into the good schools.
Legally speaking, isn’t there a difference between segregated schools in the old South, which were segregated by law, and segregation because of housing patterns??
She is mixing and matching fundamentally different issues.
Does she really think that reviving an old unpopular issue from the 60s and 70s is going to be a winning political issue???
Interesting she compsres segregation in schools from when she was in elementary school.to today. Many may not know she lived in Canada for many years and went to high school in Canada.
