Addressing the “Root Cause of Migration” is a great idea.
Unfortunately for Bernie, the violence is a surface cause. The root causes are SOCIALISM, government corruption, and narco trafficking.
The root effect of Socialism is poverty of the masses. Happens every time. And when people can’t get food and basic necessities, of course violence follows. Violence is an effect of Socialism, and a surface cause for people fleeing their homes in mass.
So the Burn is against socialism?

The Daily Mail has the details of why a young father and his child ended up dead in the Rio Grande. It's very sad, since they had no logical reason to take the risk of crossing the river. The husband and wife left jobs in El Salvador to earn more money in the USA so they could return to El Salvador and build a house. They weren't fleeing violence, and they weren't even poor relative to the local standards. They had enough money so that the mother left her job to stay home and care for their child, something most American families can't afford to do.
They had a visa to stay and work in Mexico, but they wanted to enter the USA. When they found out the ICE office was closed on weekends they decided to try crossing the river illegally. The husband and their daughter died as a result.

How do Bernie and Dems want to end violent crime in South America? They want to import It into the USA.
Well, in order to tell other people how to run their government and enforce it, when the governments in question are solvant, thanks to dumping off all of their poor on you, to earn money here and send it back there, is to intervene militarily.
