Sounds like he had ANTIFREEZE Poisoning. Nothing this side of heaven would have made any difference................
Just from the description of the symptoms, sounds like antifreeze poisoning, a particularly horrid way to die................
Except he’d be out of the DR.
Very sad for the gentleman and all his family.
There was a post by a FReeper the other day that said he and his wife went to the DR for vaycay a few years back, and every store they went to, the soft drink bottles had been tampered with, presumably to water down the contents. I wonder if the idiots in DR are using antifreeze to do this?...................

Millions of people have no clue as to what’s going on anywhere...we call them democrats.
For a vacation of a lifetime, come to the DR.. of course, it may well be your last vacation .. but Hey.. the drinks from the mini-bars are free.
I've never run into that !.................usually it's like $5-10 for a soft drink!..........
