Two Republican senators said Tuesday the rape allegation made against President Donald Trump by writer E. Jean Carroll should be explored to determine the veracity of the allegation against the President -- even as many Senate Republicans sidestepped questions over the matter and defended Trump.
Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa said both Trump and Carroll should be questioned about the alleged assault. "I think anybody that makes an accusation like that, they should come forward," Ernst said when asked if Carroll should be believed. "But obviously there has to be some additional information. They need to interview her. They need to visit with him."
Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah said there needs to be an "evaluation" but that he didn't know what entity should conduct it, "whether it's Congress or whether it's another setting, I'm not sure."

Since my vote is guided by positions, and since I needed at least one major party not to be responsible for open borders and aggressively sexualizing children I voted for Virgil Goode.
Some Romney voters just held their nose. Others actively attacked people who opposed his agenda enough to vote for an actual constitutionalist instead. In so doing, they became actual activists for Romney’s causes.
Many of these do not like being held to account and not having bygones be bygones, but too damned bad. They have to dance with the partner they brung.

The basic rule is when the left makes an allegation is to not give credence in any way to it. The very nature of this crazy allegation should cause any normal GOP to keep their mouth shut or at least say the President has responded and I have no reason not to believe him on this. Key details:
1. Its an left wing activist.
2. The alleged event is said to have occurred in a high end public store with security where it would’ve been noticed.
3. The woman claims she invited/allowed Trump into the dressing room with her after what was clearly flirting. She does not in any way indicate that he forced himself into that personal space.
4. She has made the statement that “rape is sexy for most peopled” and the whole story has a peculiar alignment with the plot of a law and order episode.
If the event happened I have no reason not to believe it was consensual only conveniently recast now for monetary and political gain. No normal sane person even thinks like this woman. Oh yeah I was flirting and talking about getting naked and taking turns wearing a see through dress then I invite a famous super rich attractive guy into my dressing room. Yeah and btw he raped me and no one noticed in all the store and I went on my way for years even after the man ran for President only to come forward at the beginning of his second campaign.
That story sure got memory holed.
Wonder why? Maybe Mr. Trump should mention this publicly. That’s what’s great about him being President, can you even imagine the standard issue Republican Eunuchs bringing this issue up?
Seems like a ‘private’ anal investigation should be made into those that claim an investigation should be launched.

In terms of McCain & Romney....have to put Lindsay G in the same category as Dick Morris....HOW can someone REALLY have that quick of a turnaround as far as their ‘inner feelings’ go? Find it hard to trust such miscreants.

Yes. My first thought was ‘what a disappointment Joni is.......’. We all knew Mitt was the second coming of McCain. Joni had such potential. But I am one of those who says ‘vote for the Republican because it at least give us control of the Senate/House’.
