Gohmert Responds to Undercover Video of Google Released by Project Veritas

Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01) released the following statement today regarding the undercover video of Google released by Project Veritas:

“This video shows Google’s biases are now a threat to a free and fair election, all while they hide behind the immunity given by Congress years ago when they were supposed to be a simple ‘town square’ where everyone’s voice could be heard without biased results. In fact, Google references a significant role they see themselves fulfilling in the 2020 elections. This discovery should set off alarm bells throughout the country. It is no secret that Google has a political agenda. Multiple brave tech insiders have stepped forward and exposed Google’s censorship of content and specialized algorithms. This media giant’s ‘social justice narrative’ should distress all Americans who value a free and open society. Google should not be deciding whether content is important or trivial and they most assuredly should not be meddling in our election process. They need their immunity stripped and to be properly pursued by class action lawsuits by those they have knowingly harmed.”

The private sector be it Space X or Google are more effective and efficient than government organizations. Obama’s FBI and CIA failed in their attempt to rig the 2016 election. If Google and other private high tech companies are allowed to implement their plans, the outcome in the next election will be compromised. Gohmert in the House, Cruz in the Senate and especially Barr and Trump in the Executive branch had better act quickly against the left high tech behemoths or they will lose. America can then say goodbye to honest and free elections.

Power corrupts, and absolute power...

Google may not have absolute power, but they’re huge, and they dominate their markets.

The sad thing is, the one thing that made google the most powerful search engine in the world (their search algorithms) is the one thing they are jeopardizing by becoming political interventionists. At least, keeping it a trade secret will be in jeopardy, and if it’s not a trade secret, then it’s not nearly as powerful, because it can then be replicated.

They just can’t keep their hands off the levers of social and political power, even if it means using their secret search algorithms, and put it all at risk.

I have used DuckDuckGo for about four years. The only knock is occasionally, I have to use google maps.

Wish that were so (hate to be so negative). Millennials (and younger) all cut their teeth on Google and YouTube. Look around and realize we are a device-addicted society and what is streaming through those devices all day long is the chosen content of the Big Brother tech giants which shapes and reshapes the “soul” of our society (away from our nation’s history, traditions, Judeo-Christian underpinnings, etc). “Google” is now a verb in the dictionary (and in our lives). What the video shows is that we have introduced the very means of our society’s destruction which happens one user at a time all across our land.

We are ripe for this bloodless overthrow.

Political discourse on social media needs its own channel. No censorship and no selective editing. If you want to talk politics on FaceBook, you send your friends the link to your post in the political channel and they can either go there or not go there. Same thing with BoobTube, Twaddle and the other social media outlets.
