Regardless of what you choose to use, that Google is an advocacy organization raises lots of issues. Their thumb on the scale is immense and needs transparency, if not more.
I watched in mounting horror as google systematically and deliberately “disappeared” over half a million hits on image searches for “obama birth certificate” in mid-July 2008.
I’ve avoided google as much as possible ever since.

Speaking of google infested. I bought a Sony smart TV which runs Android. After getting it setup I noticed it would start playing movie previews from Google as soon as I turned on the set. Worse, it wouldn’t let me switch back to the menu page when the preview was running with a lame excuse that it was still preparing the menu.
Got a Roku box for $40 and plugged it in to the TV. At least the Roku lets me watch what I want without running its own previews unrequested..
The collusion started with our first historic muslim black president.

I am as conservative as they come but Google and other high tech companies being a bunch of social justice leftwing zealots doesn’t bother me, so long as we know what they are, groups like Project Veritas is doing the job we need doing by exposing them....
I started in the Computer industry in 1981, long before Google, Amazon, Youtube, and many other high tech companies existed...
Back then the Government was suing IBM for anti-trust violations, eventually that legal case was dropped because the technology world completely changed and now most young people don’t even know who IBM is or what they do....
Same thing happened when Microsoft started distributing IE for free and putting companies like Netscape out of business, like the IBM case the Microsoft case was dropped because technology changed.....
Technology will change again and companies like Google who now consider themselves untouchable will be cut down to size.....it may take 10 or more years but eventually it will happen....
In the meantime, when Elizabeth Warren or any Conservative says we need to break up the big tech companies my first question is HOW....and who decides that....
I would much rather live with the current situation than allow some Federal Judge or Elected Politician who have no technical experience whatsoever making that decision......
Noted with interest that the YouTube meeting in May was held in a Masonic temple. Hmmm...
