Anonymous tales of sex, vengeance, laziness, and criminal behavior are swirling in Washington as President Trump considers who to name his next White House press secretary.
The spread of negative stories about contenders, many provably false, others unprovable, demonstrates the risk of Trump taking his time to make a selection, leaving his candidates exposed to attacks from rivals. A fear of some is that Trump himself could hear a rumor and believe it without checking whether it was true.
One experienced government spokesperson was said to exhibit a poor work ethic and incompetence, except when news cameras appeared. Another was said to have committed misconduct potentially amounting to a crime. One, who the Washington Examiner will not identify, was said to have slept with Secret Service agents.

In today’s insane political environment, any allegation can be taken as true once the media takes hold and runs with it.

Considering how Trump has been sabotaged by Fake News, I think he’ll be over zealous in checking everything. He know how they operate.
It’s a press secretary for cryin’ out loud! Sarah was the best and will be hard to beat. But really, what the heck?
Why does he need a press secretary? Just write up the info Trump wants the press to have and let the press submit any questions they have in writing.
Chuck Norris would also be acceptable. Realistically, who would want such a job? If it was me, I’d find an old gunny and let him feast on the press.

I wondered the same thing. Then Ari Fleischer and Sean Spicer were being interviewed a day or two after Sarah quit. The Press Secretary does a LOT. Giving statements and having press conferences is a very small percentage of the duties.
Bring in a black conservative woman. April wouldn’t know what to do because she couldn’t abuse another black woman.

I’ve always liked her. I know former President Nixon took a special interest to help her with her career.
For example Ms. Crowley had visions of being an attorney (maybe she did go to law school, I don’t know) but RMN advised her to use her talents for bigger, more meaningful things like being a diplomat or Senator or something.
