Medic testifies that he, not Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, was responsible for ISIS fighter's death

A medic testifying in the trial of Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher – who is accused of killing an injured ISIS prisoner of war in Iraq – has shockingly testified Thursday that he is the one who killed the militant, not Gallagher.

The medic told a court at Naval Base San Diego that he killed the fighter by asphyxiation. He also testified that Gallagher stabbed the fighter, but did not kill him.

Gallagher, 40, has pleaded not guilty to premeditated murder and aggravated assault charges stemming from the alleged killing of a wounded ISIS fighter and alleged instances of firing sniper rounds at civilians in Iraq.

Gallagher was undergoing a medical screening at Camp Pendleton and was in the process of transitioning to a non-combat advisory role for the Navy SEALs when he was taken into custody in September 2018, his brother Sean said. Gallagher had planned to retire in the spring.

It is not attempted murder if the victim was already dead. One big FUBAR. I’d say the Navy just ought to cut it losses now and forget about this case.

LOL Oops! Do they have idiots running the Navy? I’d say so in this case.

You would be wrong unless they knew of this medics story ahead of time.

My guess is that this is the first time anyone(but the defense atty) has heard of it. Stories like this that only come out at trial are almost always fabrications.

That medic can forget any medical career he had planned for himself after the Navy.

We don’t know the circumstances. We do know the last prosecutor on this case was taken off because he doing illegal things like reading the defense teams personal email.

Full of opinion, dangerously short of facts. I’m sure that the NCIS would love to have you aboard.

According to the ‘Bushido(?)’ code anyone that would throw down his arms and surrender didn’t deserve the right to breathe the same air as ‘heroes’.

One of the reasons the officers would commit Hari Kari was they considered it a disgrace and a slap in the Emperor’s face were they to surrender or be taken alive.

If you have that feeling in regards to yourself, it doesn’t leave much hope for those fighting you...

accusing Scott of changing his story “only now, after you’ve been granted testimonial immunity.”

Yeah, that's often how immunity works.

Duh, really? You mean people cant learn every fact from an article written to advocate a Position?

My opinion, such as it is, is based on actual real life experience in military courtrooms not like you keyboard warriors sitting in the basement sharing all your lack of knowledge. You have lots of opinions but not too much experience.

Well aren’t you just so f’n special!

25 yrs? Let me guess, you definitely weren’t in intelligence....right...dirtbag?

What, food service, file clerk, or maybe you were one of them whiz bang drivers for a General Officer? Must have been so cool to dress up so spiffy every day and play chauffeur.

Call the Pentagon and tell hem you solved the case because you can “smell” the truth.

I hate to say this, but if you don’t have wars it could be that you wind up with an excess of military aged males and that leads inevitably to a lot of political instability. Ever hear of the job title “chicken sexer”? They check all the baby chicks for their sex and then break all the males necks and throw’em in a bucket.

Japs had a code that would not allow them to condone surrender on their own part and so had nothing but contempt for those who surrendered on the other.
