Medic testifies that he, not Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, was responsible for ISIS fighter's death

A medic testifying in the trial of Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher – who is accused of killing an injured ISIS prisoner of war in Iraq – has shockingly testified Thursday that he is the one who killed the militant, not Gallagher.

The medic told a court at Naval Base San Diego that he killed the fighter by asphyxiation. He also testified that Gallagher stabbed the fighter, but did not kill him.

Gallagher, 40, has pleaded not guilty to premeditated murder and aggravated assault charges stemming from the alleged killing of a wounded ISIS fighter and alleged instances of firing sniper rounds at civilians in Iraq.

Gallagher was undergoing a medical screening at Camp Pendleton and was in the process of transitioning to a non-combat advisory role for the Navy SEALs when he was taken into custody in September 2018, his brother Sean said. Gallagher had planned to retire in the spring.

Dear Fox News:

“Corpsman”, not “medic.”

Carry on.

If the prisoner attacks you and tries to take your gun away and kill you, you are totally justified to use lethal force,

"That medic can forget any medical career he had planned for himself after the Navy."

Planned Parenthood would kill for a man with his qualifications.

The Geneva Conventions only protect uniformed combatants. Non-uniformed are susceptible to immediate death.

U.S. GI's in 1945 were told to kill ON-SIGHT any S.S. officer they came across. No prisoners. DEAD. ISIS fighters are no better than SS. You can be sure every one of them has murdered women and children before.

Killing a prisoner of war is not the only charge. Gallagher is also accused of shooting unarmed civilians and trying to cover it up. His defenders here never mention any those other charges.

Stabbing a prisoner with a knife (if true) is still a major no-no and can be prosecuted as attempted murder.

There's too much of this story that doesn't fit. Like the fact that they refused to bring witnesses in when they first charged Gallagher........all the way to the unusual way they treated him, while detained.

This sounds like someone, with a personal grudge against Gallagher, determined to take him down.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that if Gallagher did stab the ENEMY, it's because he felt there was a threat to him or his men.

Now that’s TWO medals and only ONE pardon needed.

Your reply to Okeydoker is a perfect example as to why I never state my qualifications to support my argument. You never know who who you might be talking to.

For the same reason, I have never been in a physical fight. You just don’t know if some little fart is a martial arts expert and could kick your ass in ten seconds. That said, I have never lost a battle of wits.

It’s difficult if not impossible to ascertain the alleged facts from an article advocating a position. Mysteriously things get left out.

When prosecutors lie, cheat, commit fraud on the court, etc, it's not a mystery.

I was surprised he didnt dismiss for the spying on the defense.

The judge made a decision that would least impact his career. He lacks courage and integrity. IOW, he's a REMF.

In this case, the judge did not make a decision. Dismissal would require a decision.

Lots of looky loos who think that they know what is going on. I’m not convinced that I’ve read anything that reflects what is going on in that courtroom.

I understand what you are saying. My point was that the judge made a personal decision that would cause the least possible impact on his own career.

Honestly i have never found qualifications to be of any import on FR. In fact the more qualified one is the more the boys and girls down at the manure plant will criticize what you have to say. There is definitely a anti education prevalence here. That is why so many smart and interesting people have left the site so that what mostly remains are knee jerk nonsense morons like on this thread, q cult members, anti vaxxers and other flat earthers.

I take their nonsense no more seriously than i would an argument with a juvenile.

Just keep thinking about the Nazi they let go in Saving Private Ryan. Also the kid in Lone Survivor. In Lone Survivor, couldn’t they just have tied him to a tree or something?

I’m right here in San Diego where Eddie Gallagher and his prosecution have been news every day. This medic received pre-trial immunity, which has to be the one good move by the prosecution‼️ 😊

A Corpsman! That’s a hell of an admission. I wonder if such an admission would be disputed?

Even for such an admission as that? A bold statement!
