Trump’s Department of Interior Axing 7,500 Regs to Give Americans Access to Federal Land
Breitbart ^ | 17 June 2019 | Penny Starr

Trump’s Cabinet is putting his America First policies into place, including at the Department of Interior, where Secretary David Bernhardt announced a plan to open up more than 1.4 million acres of federal land through the elimination of some 7,500 regulations. The land, under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, includes 74 national wildlife refuges and 15 national fish hatcheries.

Bernhardt said:

President Trump is committed to expanding public access on public lands, and this proposal is executing on that directive by opening and increasing more access to hunting and fishing by the Fish and Wildlife Service at more stations and across more acres than ever before. Hunting and fishing are more than just traditional pastimes as they are also vital to the conservation of our lands and waters, our outdoor recreation economy, and our American way of life.

“These refuges and hatcheries provide incredible opportunities for sportsmen and women and their families across the country to pass on a fishing and hunting heritage to future generations and connect with wildlife,” Bernhardt said.

CORRECTION: Change “Federal Lands” to “Their Lands”.
It’s just BS to find gates to Federal Forests padlocked just before hunt season!!

Wow. Imagine that. Public lands that the public can access instead of being reserved for the (DEMOCRAT) King’s men.

This is why the Washington Establishment hate Trump. They really do believe that all Federal Land belongs to them and they have a right to regulate private land as if it were theirs as well. This attitude goes well beyond Federal Land which means that Trump is a threat to their power and their way of life.

In 2014 I went up against US Fish and Wildlife because they were getting ready to stop a 50 year old mitigation trout stocking program on the Colorado River that happened to be in my District (I am the County Supervisor). I can write a book about what happened and who really runs (at least, ran) Washington. I was invited by my Congressman, Paul Gosar to testify in an oversight hearing. Here it is. The upshot is that we stopped it. Turns out they wanted to stop it everywhere. If anyone wants to know how we finally stopped them, let me know. (here's a hint, it wasn't this oversight hearing which is one big photo op for Congressman to way their fingers in bueaucrats faces and then do nothing) We have been praying for action like posted above for a long time. Bravo! This is wonderful news.

The Forest Service has designed the padlock system for their gates which has steel cover over the padlock. You can only
unlock the padlock with a key in a very small opening.
A bolt cutter cannot reach the shackle.
Next time you see a Forest Service locked gate check it out.

And if they use that grade 8 chain and hardened lock shackles, a small portable oxy-acetylene torch.
YUP; done that.

Out here they use mostly steel cable hidden in kind of a box like structure, oxy-acetylene torch goes through it like a hot knife thru butter.
Only thing faster would be a portable plasma cutter.
(yes they make them)

A .308 lock pick will not work. Obviously you have not seen
the Forest Service lock protection system I described.
Have your Will in order before you try the .308 pick.

The torch key system will work if you cut the gate down.
(There is no cable involved with the systems I have encountered.)

Now let’s ax a thousand or so federal workers who are no longer needed to enforce them.

I wonder if this will affect the off limit areas of the Hawaiian/sandwich islands?
Americans cannot even sail through the area currently.
