Hmmm . . . AOC has said we ought to "look at" industrial farming. Other communists like Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Mugabe, Chavez, and Maduro have also "looked at" farming and universally caused mass famines. That's what today's DemonShits really want.

There are problems with industrial farms for sure.
But it’s allowing an Earth with 7 billion people
to keep feeding itself.

They may very well and unless they can get other countries to replace their crops they can die feeling really good about themselves with lots of money. These people are deranged and dangerous.

But they'll be just fine with industrial body disposal... a Soylent Green cover-up of that mass starvation that will make even the famines of their heroes Stalin & Mao pale by comparison.

My 21yo au pair is from Germany. She thinks literally every weather event is evidence of global warming and is incredulous that anyone doesn’t believe in her weird weather religion.

She also loves McDonalds hamburgers (it’s her favorite restaurant), enjoys our cheap gas prices and her favorite American car is the Chevy Suburban. She says it is considered a luxury vehicle in Germany because you have to be loaded to afford to drive one around.

I wish I was making this all up.

These people are nuts. There are like 2 billion starving humans on earth and they want to make food more scarce and more expensive. I can’t even say that this would make them ‘feel better’ if they had any real thought they would realize how many will be harmed by such inane policy.

Reminds me of this plastic straw ban for some reason. I fail to see how a plastic straw is worse for the environment than a paper straw - how much energy and other environmental damage is used to make a paper straw? Cutting trees, milling the wood, bleaching the wood, turning it to paper, rolling it and gluing it and then wrapping it in a plastic (or paper again) is a net environmental positive? Why not just hard plastic reusable straws, like the dishware and utensils used in restaurants? They can be washed and disinfected - but they are banned.

And how many of these green people love Starbucks? Starbuck’s entire business model is based on massive amounts of trash. No plastic straws but billions of plastic cups, plastic lids, plastic bags full of beans, even plastic CDs of music. I bet Starbucks is responsible for entire landfills at this point but how much trash do these “green” people create just by their patronage of Starbucks? I for one never go there.

Sorry, I’m ranting...

Mass starvation to save the planet. And blame the farmers.

Yes looks like they’ve discovered the flaw, I guess Stalin just didn’t starve enough people to death.

Sure. I’ve got an extra 40 hours every week available to manage my little backyard garden and a few head of livestock. No problem. Happy to oblige to save the earth.

Things may have changed, but Europeans laughed about
our considering Mercedes-Benz a luxury car and paying
luxury prices for it. Over there, MB was a truck maker.

Plus, they’d get a kick out of Canadian tourists making emphasis of the Maple Leaf flag to show they were not American, when to Europe, Canada and the US were lumped into North America.

But but but “Scientists have discovered the smell of flatulence can stave off cancer, strokes, heart attacks and dementia..”

So much of the GW religion is based on total ignorance of basic history. Human history is replete with major weather/climate related calamities. The dust bowl for one major example. Do people even know there are 1000s of former communities under water, or, turned to dust over the ages? The Mediterranean sea was once a tiny body of water but something happened to cause it to rapidly flood the basin. The theory of Pangea? How much atmospheric gas is released when tectonic plates shift? The last big quake in Japan moved the entire country 8 feet to the west. The historic record is filled with stories of human migration - moving from places that were once lush but later became uninhabitable. Droughts happen. Floods happen. Ice forms and ice melts - we even have ice ages!

But for some reason, the GW acolytes are either ignorant of this, or think it is irrelevant, or think it can be controlled?

I am not in a position to say that human industry is not responsible for some increase in greenhouse gases. But I cannot at all say it is the primary cause, nor that it is entirely bad. Plants grow really well when the temperature is warmer and the air a little more dense eg. the equator. And yet even at the equator there have been periods of drought. The downfall of the Mayan culture is theorized to be the result of drought. The good thing is, today, we have technology to move large volumes of water. We can turn seawater into drinking water. We can grow enough food to feed the planet. And yet there are people want to turn back the clock instead of working to advance technologies that can provide stability to all civilizations. It’s nuts.
