I still can’t figure out why she jumped into the race. What made the idiot think “this is my time”?

* * *

In truth, if you’re a Democrat, it’s certainly not “my time” — for any of them, considering Trump’s stellar record after only two years in office.

Every one of them (except Bernie and Biden who are view it as their last chance) can become President in this cycle. They simply need face time with the public.

Even Biden. I’ll bet 30% of the electorate doesn’t even know who he is.

While I agree 100% with the author’s assessment of this imbecile, she is almost cute.

Far more attractive than anyone else in gaggle of Dem candidates.

Her eyes, though : "And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'." -Quint

She is so excruciatingly, insufferably, painfully stupid, shallow, pandering, desperate, and without ethics.

Kind of a requirement to serve in the US senate.

I’ve heard her a number of times on the radio, and she sounds so much like Cortez, I couldn’t tell the difference.

Silly Gilly wants to be the feminist candidate, the gal who thinks all men are evil.

From April:

“Democrat senator and presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand’s family ties to the NXIVM sex cult are coming to light, raising serious questions about her relationship with the cult that she once denied knowing about.”

It was a running joke that Edgar Bergen moved his lips as Charlie McCarthy spoke. Most of the other radio comedians of the time made some sort of comment on this idiosyncrasy.

Charlie was Candice Bergen’s big brother, and got a LOT more attention from Daddy.

Candace Bergen and Steve McQueen, from one of my favorite movies, Sand Pebbles. A classic beauty, and a Brie Larson of yesteryear.

Amy Klobuchar isn’t much better. She delivered her big climate change harangue during a snowstorm

Never saw the Sand Pebbles. In ‘65 preparing for HS graduation. Many long term movies missed during that time. ‘Sandpiper’, Ice Station Zebra’, to name a few. McQueen was always an actor to be admired. Remember him in “The Thomas Crown Affair’ and ‘Bullet’, two movies fortunate to catch.
Bergen - not a fan but do remember her in the movie ‘The Group’ (haven’t a clue in memory of actually seeing this one). Not a fan of most ‘war movies’ but do bend the rule a bit for a few.

I would say that except for the concluding scenes of Sand Pebbles, it’s not a war movie.

I’m an ex-Navy guy so I’m a sucker for a history piece with a Navy theme.

Most of the film is about the clash of cultures — China and America. Not many scenes with Bergen. It’s really about Steve McQueen and what it means to be a man.

In that respect, it’s a kind of Clint Eastwood movie.

I’m one of the few people who didn’t like Sand Pebbles.
Richard Crenna tops my list of most hated actors, along with Ronald Coleman. I thought McQueen’s character came off as blank-faced and stupid.

I think McQueen played a very credible sailor, an ideal machinist mate. I’ll always remember him in that role.

Certainly the last third of the money had a kind of ridiculous plot and that’s where Richard Crenna did most of his acting.
