Californians, what do you have to lose by voting for Trump?! Its time for Democrats to defend the consequences of their democratic socialist policies that have ruined the state!
After visiting my hometown of Los Angeles, California a couple of weeks ago, for the first time in decades, I returned to Florida absolutely convinced that Donald Trump and the Republican Party could recapture the state if the president would take Rush Limbaughs advice and campaign there. Everything thats wrong with California is the fault of Democrats! They cant blame Republicans for the mess theyve created there! Its a one-party state! Can you think of anyone better than President Trump that can spotlight the left-wing policies that have wreaked havoc on the citizens of California? I cant.
Whether its homelessness, unaffordable housing, illegal immigration, abandoning efficient and affordable fossil fuel energy that has created wealth and career opportunities for middle-class Americans, an erosion of their middle class, or the lack of true diversity that exist in the state because Republicans and people of faith are bullied and censored, its time for someone to draw attention to Democrats failure in California. Why not Trump? Why not now?
Think about this. If Democrats have the audacity to try and take back Texas thats a successful red state, why dont we have the cajones to take back California, a failing blue state?
Despite spending billions of dollars to fix Californias homelessness crisis, its worse than ever! According to ABC News in a column, in Los Angeles County alone, the homelessness crisis rose 12 percent in the last year under Garcettis underwhelming leadership to a total of 58,936 people. Furthermore, the streets of San Francisco are a mess, literally! They had to hire a Poop Patrol to clean up human feces on their streets because Democratic politicians refuse to enforce public urination and loitering laws that are already on the books.
On top of that, unaffordable housing in California is preventing middleclass Americans from obtaining the American Dream of buying a home and securing a decent retirement for themselves. Even the jobs of some unionized labor, such as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), are being threatened by big city mayors that have embraced Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs Green New Deal. Moreover, low-skilled and entry level workers are forced to compete for jobs and wages with illegal aliens. The gap between the rich and poor is widening there. And now, Governor Gavin Newsom wants to force California residents to buy health care for illegal aliens when legal residents cant afford it for their own families because Obamacare destroyed the industry. When will California voters say enough is enough?
Its obvious that Democratic elitists in California think their voters are too dumb to think for themselves. Thats why they employed the jungle primary system, that allows the top two winners to go to the primary election, even if theyre both Democrats. Not only does this drown out competing political ideas from the GOP and other parties, preventing voters from having a real choice between candidates, but it also explains why California continues to creep further left to their detriment, and why theyve become so intolerant of anyone that doesnt subscribe to the liberal group think.
But it wasnt always that way in California. There was a time when Republicans had a lock on the state. According to a 2016 column in the L.A. Times, in virtually every presidential election from 1952 through 1988 Republicans won the state. What changed? According to the column it was the surge of Latino and Asian immigrants in the 1990s that were unhappy with the GOP stance on immigration.
Although it would be a Herculean task for the GOP to win back California, its not impossible with Trump. The jobs and lifestyles of legal immigrants there are threatened by left-wing policies, including amnesty for illegal immigrants too. Furthermore, all of the failed policies of the left are on full display for the entire nation to see, if only someone would put them under a microscope. Theres no Republican politician in California with a platform large enough to expose Democrats failed policies in California. Trump has the pulpit and the courage. We should utilize his microphone and his courage to make California great again.
Not just illegals and welfare recipients, I meant to say.
I can’t even find quick info on the number of public employees in CA.
It's not impossible but it would likely draw time and effort away from defending PA, WI, and MI as well as the summit push for ME, NH, MN and as LS recommended NV, NM, and then OR.
THAT SAID, as I've written previously BECAUSE many of us Deplorables behind enemy lines (NY, NJ, MA, CA) and thus we are surrounded by statists of every stripe - left and right - we possibly have a better appreciation for liberty and why it is important to fight for it when you've got it. I'd like to think that a few Deplorables in occupied territories probably have more impact on the margins than people think. Imagine the DNC resources and mind-losing that would ensue if Trump held a big old rally in Fresno..."what are his internals showing that WE aren't seeing? I know we are worried about Minnesota but send a few people to LA now..."
Will our deep blue states go Red in 2020? Maybe not. But then nobody thought Trump could turn PA Red. You have to be realistic, but ya gotta believe.
I wasn't commenting on what Rush said, but that sounds reasonable.
Yes, I can see the press is taking his remarks all out of proportion. As usual, right?
If we could find a way to jettison Oregon, too, that would be a plus.
POTUS is considering campaigning in Oregon. There are normal people east of the mountains.
I’d rather he takes on the progs in California. But he may not have to. Perhaps there will be a wake-up call to normal people in California to at least put up a fight.
I did read/hear that while the impeach parades were a nationwide failure yesterday, there were pro-POTUS rallies in Poway and somewhere else. Chino? They were larger than the impeach rallies.
We have the American ‘laboratories of the states’. These lab experiments are failures. Until a majority sees that, acknowledges it and figures they have nothing left to lose, POTUS should campaign and draw attention to the messes, if only to offer support and a platform to those suffering without a voice.
I would love to see Trump hold rallies in California and in Chicago. Right in the projects. Boston and NYC, too.
How many times do you stick your finger into the light socket before you finally wise up..?
Depends on how much of a charge they’re getting out of it.
A popular science fiction trope is that of the ‘wire head’ who is hooked up to either a direct brain stimulation or some sort of VR and is addicted to the point of eventual death.
Rush had callers enthusiastically repeating that POTUS should rally there.
They are going to pay for this by taxing people who dont have health care!
What a farce.
Too many gators and snakes in that swamp. Be easier and cheaper to let them drain themselves by looting and feeding upon each other. At some point, they would be as pliable as a starved dog. Just cut them off and let them alone. They’ll be back on their knees with their hand out.
Not if you ignore them.
Yeah and have the GOP give out free MAGA pooper scoopers.
Impossible now because of epic-level Demonrat voter fraud and corruption. The state was lost after 1994.
It gets better...only in California
They are going to fine people that can't afford to buy heath insurance...to give free health insurance to illegal aliens.
Trump going to California needs ro be considered for its effects on other races and not just the electoral vote. It would not be a waste to energize the demoralized Republicans in order to take back the seven House seats taken by the Democrats manufactured voting in 2016.
Don't misunderstand: I would love to see President Trump campaign in California and he is the only Republican in the country who stands a chance -- remote as it is -- to win back the state. So I think that while the possiblity is exciting to think about, it seems to me to be a waste of money to campaign here ... and it would take an enormous amount of his time and his energy -- at the expense of maintaining his hold on other important states that he must win without California (Michigan; Wisconsin; Pennsylvania). The odds are just not in his favor and the costs are far too high.
Excellent point! I forgot about the coattails.
That's probably one of many reasons I'm not on the President's re-election team. ;)
“Moreover, low-skilled and entry level workers are forced to compete for jobs and wages with illegal aliens.”
That’s never bothered a Bush Republican. Or a Romney Republican. Or a Paul Ryan Republican. They’d amnesty millions more if they could get away with it.
They’re also supporters of H1-B visas so it’s not just low end workers.
And while illegals have been implicated in voter fraud that’s not where the Democrats have gained their socialist voter army in California.
They get it from the huge number of legal 3rd world immigrants who reside in this state. They can and do vote in very large numbers, and they vote left.
The ever stupid and cowardly Republican party will allow itself to go extinct before it will ever cut off this flow of new voters dragging the country into what California has become.
Amazing all politicians representing Hispanic black and poor areas should loudly oppose illegals
“Wasnt it CA where the Dems just swiped three seats by legally harvesting votes?”
Four House seats were flipped in Orange County alone.
Seven House seats total.
California was the test case for “ballot harvesting”. It’s legalized election theft and it worked far better than the Democrats expected. They will implement this everywhere.
We need to have a secure voting system in the United States. One with tamper proof voter ID. Mexico has one, designed for them by IBM.
