Just curious: Can someone point out the Iranian flag flying on the boat that cruised up to the tanker in broad daylight to remove a mine? I can’t see it.
Iranian ships & boats always fly their flag. Someone explain why they didn’t in this case, in a ‘daring’ broad daylight retrieval of a generic mine which could have been attributed to ANYONE...

How did they know “how” to remove an activated mine, or was it a purposely “deactivated mine” to make them (the Iranians) look like brave heroes saving the ship from a dastardly limpet mine?

Limpet mines are usually put onto a ship by frogmen (UDT). Some were designed to float and them attach magnetically when they hit metal (i.e. a ship). This looks like a possible combination of both approaches.
Notice that the Iranians didn’t give anyone the mine to examine for manufacturing origins. Sort of like Hillary refusing to give her private server to the FBI to check.
Coincidence? In both cases, I doubt it.

If we have the capability to see an individuals face from satellites, why is this video more like a garage sale camcorder? Lines, instead of pixilating on the switched shots?

1. Can we say, with 100% certainty, that no other nation, or group, has possesion or ownership of an IRGC Gashti class patrol boat? Don't some other countries own and operate some of our military hardware? Yes. Something to consider.
2. Were the operators of that patrol boat detained and positively identified as being Iranian military? If not, how can we be 100% certain they were Iranian military?
3. Has it been verified beyond a doubt that those mines were recently placed on those tankers, or in the surrounding waters and not remnants from a while ago?
Having our navy assist the civilians from the tankers is fine...but those tankers were not ours so it's not up to us to retaliate militarily against whoever may have been responsible for those explosions on those tankers.
Who talked them into doing it?
Paid them?
That is what we need to know.

Other thread has the loonies out claiming we staged the whole deal and even staged the “photo op”....just being on FR doesn’t insure one’s stability or mental sanity.
However, they preface it by stating the views of the author do not necessarily reflect the opinions of CNN, or something like that.
IMO, their tolerance for such a piece may well have to do with the fact that, among their viewers, are many Jewish liberals, who, one would at least think, not be very happy about the Iran deal that Obama made.

I only found out recently that cargo ships and tankers carry no small arms and have basically no security. I find that ridiculous.
The oil tanker doesn’t appear to e moving. Do these ships ride at anchor for a while before entering the Strait of Hormuz?

Open letter to President Trump:

By isolating them and cutting them off from their terrorist assets worldwide and imposing a blockade for at least six months should be enough to prevent using an invasion. Simply destroying their military assets and capture or killing their assets abroad should allow the people to rise up and we can even straff the security forces if they engage protestors.
