In many of these cases -- the "Yellow Jacket" movement in France, for example -- the popular uprising isn't being carried out by people who are tired of government bureaucrats running their lives. Most of these people actually want their government to do MORE ... but for THEM, not for the elites or the immigrants.
"Freedom" sailed away from these people a long time ago. They never even noticed that it was gone.
Very good point. People who truly want freedom in their lives aren’t very common now. Freedom, I mean, not libertinism.
