Mark Levin appeared at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California on Saturday night. The event was a celebration of his new, bestselling book, Unfreedom of the Press. It was a glorious evening. The auditorium was packed with several thousand fans with an overflow crowd in another room. Levin delivered not a speech but conversation. John Heubusch, the director of the Reagan Library introduced Levin then the two of them sat down. Heubusch asked questions and Levin answered in his usual inimitable fashion. The crowd loved it. But as we were all sitting in that spectacular library in California, the state of our state was the initial topic of discussion. How did this state, once the envy of all others, become the pathetic, indebted loser state it is today? The answer is simple, single-party Democratic rule. Levin worked for the Reagan Justice Department and, like everyone else in the room, reveres the man. But the state that Reagan once governed (1967-1975) has become the prime national example of the abject failure of Democratic policies, all of them. Jerry Brown's imaginary high-speed rail that was to initially run from Bakersfield to Merced in Central California is a bust. The cost was projected to be $77b but has forecast to be $98b! It most likely will never be completed. Billions have been wasted.
Our state debt is over $1.5t. We have the highest gasoline prices in the nation. Oh, and we are a sanctuary state that protects all manner of illegal immigrants, no matter how serious the crimes they've committed. Think Jose Garcia Zanate who killed Kate Steinle. He had been deported seven times but was out and about on the streets of San Francisco with the blessings of SF law enforcement;

I used to live there. Too late.
Only by a major earthquake and/or fire.
The interior, Kern County and hopefully, San Diego, can be saved. no saving LA, SFO, or the surrounding counties or coastline with poss. exception of San Luis Obispo and the north coast around Eureka. The rest is gone.
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TODAY:
* State taxes in California are the highest in the nation,
* Sales taxes are the highest in the nation.
* California falls nearly last in education.
* The most homeless, the most illegal migrants.
* The state spends $30.b on illegal immigration per year. Like all cities run by progressives, the entire state is a disaster of Democratic making.
* San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego have been overrun by homeless people, most of them drug addicted and/or mentally ill. Entire areas of these cities are befouled by used needles, feces, trash, garbage, rats and now diseases long-thought to be extinct in the West.
* Persons who work in downtown Los Angeles have contracted typhus!
* As true in other cites long run by Democrats (Chicago, Baltimore, Seattle, Detroit, Flint) it is the implementation of ridiculous utopian Marxist policies so beloved by progressives that has destroyed these once grand cities.
* Democrats cheat, (ballot harvesting) are re-elected, and the state continues to decline.
* Too many illegals vote thanks to the motor voter bill that was passed to do exactly what it did, let noncitizens vote.
* State Politicians want to control how we all live our lives by pretending we are causing global warming, as if we mere humans are more powerful than the sun!
* They have successfully indoctrinated two generations of malleable young people with the false notion that America is a racist nation, illegitimately founded by white men so it must be destroyed and rebuilt according to their monstrous, failed progressive policies. They loathe our founding documents, our anthems, our families, our traditions.
It would take a military clean out of illegals, but would then continue down anyway from politicians robbing the taxpayers

Earthquake or tsunami. Trump would help with medical assistance. The other stuff forget it. They made their own bed.
Sanctuary Cities,
Incentivizing ILLEGAL Immigration,
Incentivizing drug use,
Destroying the most productive Farm Land in America,
Shutting down all meaningful Power Production in the State,
Continuing to elect increasingly leftist politicians,
So, NO, it won't be saved.
Since this is already codified into the laws the state's Democrats ignore, it shouldn't even be a difficult fix.
But contradicting those personal stories is unthinkable to the suburban white female voter - and more than any other single factor her emotional judgments at the ballot box are what has killed California.
It’s always too late. It will be fixed in the same way a Phoenex rises from the ashes. And that goes for the rest of the country, though a bit slower.
I’m not kidding when I say we are living in Dr. Zhivago but without the love triangle. History repeats, but never precisely. It’s the same spirit going on in our country right now that was going on in the Russian revolution. But a lot of us disagree and are armed. But if it gets to the point where that actually matters, it will be very ugly.
The only way out is to elect Conservatives.
There are no Conservative Democrats in 2019.
The Cali population has been thoroughly brainwashed into believing that Republicans are EEEEEEVIL.
Therefore no Conservatives will be elected, and the death spiral will continue.
The North Sacramento Valley counties from Butte County on north are populated by patriotic Americans. The optimal situation would be formation of the State of Jefferson and detachment from the rest of CA. Ditto for the eastern counties to the south. The center of the Cali disease is the 70-mile coastal swath that starts 40 miles north of San Francisco and extends to the southern tip of LA County.
But the state as a whole is long gone. There is no hope.
Add to the list:
Insanely high real estate prices.
The ShitHole, currently known as California, is overflowing into the remaining 47 states. This experiment is just about over.
the only way to save it would be a very hard reset. I don’t think even a mega earthquake would change the political landscape. Entitlement mentality is the norm, democrap politicians live above the law, pronouncing dictats to the peons who are too stupid to even stand up to them (remember- they allowed the gas tax increase to stand, now are whining about high gas prices - go figure). I am very pessimistic the mentality can change.
The State is gone Patty, Enjoy the ride down.
Agree completely.
Ditto liberal states.
