“The AXA Equitable Center (originally The Equitable Tower or Equitable Center West) is an American 752-foot-tall skyscraper, located at 787 Seventh Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets in Manhattan, New York City.

The building’s roof was involved in a helicopter-related crash around 1:50 PM on Monday, June 10th 2019. A fire resulted in this crash landing, with a single fatality of the lone helicopter occupant reported, and no injuries or fatalities of building occupants noted.

Bad idea #74: Helicopter ejection seats.

Many years ago there was a helicopter crash on top of the old Pan Am Building in NYC and three people were killed. After that all helicopter flights in and around Manhattan were stopped. Guess that doesn’t apply anymore.
