Rep. Mark Meadows told "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo that he is "not as optimistic now" after Attorney General William Barr said he anticipated Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation to be complete by early June.
Horowitz and his team have been investigating alleged FISA abuse by the Justice Department and the FBI since March 2018. The inquiry includes a focus on the FBI’s handling of the unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele and its extensive use in the FBI's FISA applications and renewals to target former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Barr said in April that Horowitz would be wrapped up “in probably May or June” but an end-of-the-month deadline looks increasingly unlikely.
“Only Michael Horowitz knows the exact time frame of when it’s coming out. Obviously the attorney general indicated that he hoped to see it in June. I’m not as optimistic now,” Meadows said on Sunday. “One of the reasons for that is additional information has been given to the inspector general for them to investigate.”

Good that they are finding “new developments”.
But they should still work hard and hurry up. This is important.
I don’t trust Whoreowitz, after all, he’s an 0bama appointed stooge. Remember how we were all waiting for his other report, only to have him say, “sure there were instances of bias at the FBI, but there was no evidence that the bias affected the FBI agents work.”
My bet is that his long-awaited FISA report will be very similar, “sure there were some irregularities, but nothing to get upset about. Move along, nothing to see here.”
To be honest, I’m not holding my breath that Barr and Dunham will really get to the bottom of the origins of the hoax either.
And the bureaucratic slow walking continues. Tick tock my butt.

I doubt there will ever be any “report” or anything else. The swamp is just trying to run out the clock.
I disagree. I think there is no way Barr is going to accept a “whitewash” from Horowitz and there he has to go back and do a proper job rather than the BS coverup he was planning.
Barr knows a fair amount of the truth and he’s going to demand that from Horowitz regardless of what Horowitz wants.
New information is already too late.
Go with indictments NOW. Quit dilly-dallying around. There needs to be a dozen criminal trials before the elections begin, or once again, it is going to be just Republicans screwing around while Rome burns.
Bet the new developments are things that have been reported by Solomon, Cater and company for over a year.

Horowitz and Huber were repeatedly assigned by Rosenstein and Sessions to protect the Guilty.
Horowitz is entirely toothless. His focus is to present things in a way that will benefit the agencies and Directors he works for.
Horowitz’s recommendations are routinely ignored. Horowitz is HR light when HR has been told to tread lightly.

Screw Horowitz report. Tell him to release what he’s got. There are 25 books out their that wrote what happened and by whom. Quicker this way. Horowitz won’t release it. He’ll stall until 2020.
Could Durham be giving Horowitz some pressure? Overlapping investigations could cause problems for a cover-up.
Maybe some monkeys to add to the dog and pony show?
