‘Bull’ Durham ‘asking all the right questions’ in Russia probe; has met ‘several times’ with AG Barr
The National Sentinel ^ | 6/9/19 | Jon Dougherty

Posted on 06/09/2019 8:27:39 AM PDT by SleeperCatcher

The U.S. attorney assigned to investigate the origins of the ‘Russia’ probe as part of the “Spygate” effort to depose POTUS Donald Trump is “asking the right questions” as his investigation into the corruption of the FBI and Justice Department under the Obama administration.

In addition, Fox News reported Saturday, attorney John Durham has met “several times” with Attorney General William Barr as the probe continues apace, making Democrats nervous and, some would say, panicky.

In particular, Durham — a corruption specialist — is “digging into the FBI’s use” of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrants to spy on a member of the 2016 Trump campaign, warrants that were obtained, it appears, through fraudulent representation of the bogus “Steele Dossier,” a pack of unsubstantiated lies passed off to the court by James Comey’s bureau as legitimate intelligence.

“Bull” is probably having trouble getting documents from Wray, the FBI,
the CIA and NSA. Employees of these agencies who are withholding
documents should be fired on the spot.

THE ROT GOES RIGHT TO THE TOP

Why Did The Obama Administration Ignore Reports Of Russian Election Meddling?
The Federalist ^ | June 4, 2019 | Margot Cleveland
FT Posted on 6/4/2019, 2:48:02 PM by detective

Friday’s interview is not the only time Barr raised the issue of the Obama administration’s failure to respond to Russian attempts at election interference.

During her hour-long interview last week of Attorney General William Barr, “CBS This Morning” journalist Jan Crawford focused mainly on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of President Trump. She also, however, questioned Barr on the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) efforts to ensure that Russian attempts to interfere in our elections are not repeated in 2020.

This revealed the attorney general is probing a second scandal of the Obama administration related to the 2016 presidential election. Or it would be regarded as a second scandal if it garnered more attention: Why the Obama administration failed to forcefully respond to intelligence of Russian interference in our elections.

Trump has directed them to cooperate. He put Barr in charge and gave him declassification authority, which was very important to unraveling this mess.

We will see if this changes the equation because to date they have thwarted most attempts to find the truth and much of what we know is thanks to a few congressmen and Judicial Watch along with a handful of honest journalist.

Using “classification” to hide things that are embarrassing should not be tolerated in a democracy.

While I want to keep an open mind, Wray’s statements in public have not given me much faith that he is committed to daylight about the actions of his predecessor. I firmly believe that he is doing MORE harm to the FBI by not ripping off the band-aid and correctly pointing out that it was a small group at the top of the organization that did this, were played by our intelligence community (IC) and partisans at the state department, and that our IC used our allies to push the same information to a willing top floor at FBI HQ.

The truth will come out so why not be the one to reveal it and say you are taking steps to prevent something like this in the future?

I assume Wray was appointed by the President. If so, I can't understand why DJT appointed him. This guy is not much better than Comey from what Joe DiGenova and others have said.

Over at Reddit, they posted the wire service picture of Bull Durham, the one where you don’t want to be in his sights.

Then they added a dialogue:

PHOTOGRAPHER: Mr. Durham, this is your official photo, please smile.
DURHAM: I am smiling.

Not going to happen

You may remember one of the first things Bill& Hill did when they took over was to loot the FBI for over 900 personal files of folks that could make trouble for them.

They have the dirt on so many, they remain ‘Untouchable”

Why do you think J Edgar was able to stay in power for so long?

Corruption and blackmail have been tradecraft for the FBI since the git-go.

The problem that the Deep State has here are the White Hats, the people working in those agencies, usually pretty low down the chain, that want this crap exposed.

So when Durham asks for a document, he probably already has it, unofficially - but he wants it officially. If it’s not coughed up when requested, then questions start to be asked.

That’s why it’s ALWAYS good to comply with these types of requests if you have nothing to hide, and it’s often good to comply, even if you do have something to hide...considering that it’s often much easier to punish someone for knowingly withholding documents, then to punish them on the contents of the documents, particularly if they can afford good lawyers.

That of course is just the tip of the iceberg. Will he take on the iceberg too?

Probably not, but a chip or two away at it is better than nothing.

Apparently it was fatso Chris Christie who recommended him. Trump doesn’t need ‘friends’ like Christie and Trump was smart to mostly stay clear of him...but blew it here. It will be interesting to see if Wray survives in his position...if he does leave, that will be the starting gun for heads to be rolling.

We can blame Krispie, but he didn’t nominate Wray. And it’s not a life time position, yet Trump has stuck with him for 2 years now. At some point the buck has to actually stop with POTUS.

Perhaps because TPTB in the GOP all claimed, as did Rush and others in media, that Wray was a stand-up, no nonsense, by the book, honest guy.

This story is based on an interview with Corey Lewandowski, not anyone with DOJ insight, so take it for what it likely is; wishful thinking. Agree that Durham is like getting the same stonewalling as Barr was getting before the Trump memo telling the IC to cooperate. At a minimum, every request will be delayed by several months or longer under the guise of the “careful declassification process”.

Barr could speed things up by filing obstruction of justice charges against those who impede the investigation.
